@ingridrd *eats cake*
@sam-kowal *pats shoulder* Worry not. By not watching the Superbowl, you didn’t have to listen to the announcers talk about the Patriots a whole lot. … Who would you root for though? The…[Read more]

@SeekJustice The Sil is hard to get through in places, but I really think it’s worth it, so don’t put it down after being bored for a few chapters. ;P And you’ll be making quite a bit of use of the maps in it, too. It’s slow going, but there’s some good stuff in it. Whatever order your read the books in.

You know you’re a Kapeefer when you’re watching and listening to your crazy, fun friend and thinking, “Too bad he/she doesn’t write — he/she would make a great Kapeefer.”

Jane Maree replied to the topic Questions about writing a short story in the forum Plotting 8 years, 7 months ago
@livgiordano As the others have said, basically you have to change the full character arc into a tiny little three-scene structure. That condenses it down to a small space, but still has the general idea. For example:
– Goldilocks wants eats the porridge because she doesn’t think taking someone else’s stuff is bad
– The bears come back and chase…[Read more] -

You know you’re a bookworm when new bookshelves is the bestest thing ever and you spend hours and hours trying to work out how to rearrange the books. xP

@amily-huddleston I haven’t seen any of Roy Rogers’ movies. I’ve actually only seen a few western movies, however, I make up for it by watching a lot of western TV shows. My favorites are Bonanza, The Virginian, The Big Valley, The Rifleman, Laramie, and Wagon Train. Have you seen any of those? 😃

@livgiordano I actually did that with a story I submitted to KP. It was originally 70,000 words long, but I condensed it to 4,000 (except it was a story long-since abandoned and one I’d given up as a book, but I thought I could at least salvage it into a decent short story).
Anyway, back to the issue at hand. 🙂 Whether it takes away from the a…[Read more]

Too much reading and literary analysis and not enough writing. Haha! 😉
