@Mariposa YES! We’ve been to the Ark Encounter once, and it is SO COOL.
One of my future books has a fictional institute that’s based on the Creation Museum.

@Anne-of-Lothlorien Oh yes, Edgar Guest is good, for nice solid, family stuff. I love it. And Tolkien’s amazing for the epic gorgeous visual fantasy stuff. This is my favorite of his, though I’d not suggest tackling something like that at first. 😛 Rather complicated and long. BUT IT’S GOOD.

Yep. How it works is you start off in charge of your own education with your parents not monitoring you hardly at all. Then, you make the educated decision that it is no longer worth your time to continue doing math. Therefore, you stop it.
