I’m honestly a bit tired of dark stuff and stories that “deal with hard themes”.
I’m always a little annoyed when people say we need more writers dealing with darkness in their stories. Literally 90% of the WIPs I’ve heard about have dark themes like PTSD and abuse, and a lot of published books are the same.
I write dark themes so I don…[Read more]

It does feel kinda like it at times…I’m actually working this whimsy story of fairies, libraries, and evil people eating woods right now that I haven’t introduced here because…*shrugs*
Ma’am. Please introduce your story in more detail. I am currently working on a whimsy story of fairies, cozy homes, and evil people-eating rabbits. We have…[Read more]

Alrighty! XD And no time pressure. I need to focus on getting a first draft right now anyway, so I’m not asking for scheduled edits or anything. Lol.

I’m honestly a bit tired of dark stuff and stories that “deal with hard themes”. We need more silliness and whimsy. The real world is full of it. Maybe we should reflect it more in our writing.
A hundred and ten percent agree. We need more whimsy and light.

Ahhh, me too oOoOO… fairies…..
I was actually just thinking about getting someone to read over the first chapter and prologue and give me feedback. I know it’s got spots that sort of dragged, but I literally just finished that chapter a few minutes ago and so I didn’t want to look at it myself. (Actually trying a new writing habit…[Read more]

Hmm. Welp, I do write poetry, if it can be called that.
Also I have no idea what age group my stories are for when I’m writing them, but I definitely have a few that feel like children’s books so you are not alone :] I don’t have very many externally dark themes in my stories usually that would make it YA.
*Grateful hugs*
It does feel…[Read more]

I remember watching it when I was younger and being creeped out. It’s such a fun film.
Why do these two sentences make sense together? Like, why?

Or at least, titling things. I can name stuff all day long. It’s the officially titlely stuff that gets hard. Most of my books aren’t even titled.

For a title for myself, don’t really know that I’ve done anything of great impact here. I do seem to write more children’s fiction than most though (or maybe y’all are keeping secret MG WIPs? *Hopeful smile*). So maybe The Nursery Rhymer, or something. Idk. I’m not very good at naming things.

seeing as I am Lilly one of the few on here who actually owns swords and daggers…. I think I get a fair chance at that title
An interesting thought, madame.

Yeah! I remember watching it when I was younger and being creeped out. It’s such a fun film. I kind of wish it got a show instead of a movie because it felt like it didn’t cover all the plot it wanted to.

Ooo, those are a lot of nice synonyms
Okay thanks :] Have you ever watched 9? It’s an animated movie with puppet dolls living on post-apocalyptic Earth. A couple of them are twins and they’re basically archivists. That’s what I’m suddenly picturing.

Seeing as how I’m archiving Character Castle right now, the only title I can think of is The Other Archivist – but I don’t know if Loops wants to share the title. Otherwise I can’t think of what I’d be.

Min can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that Flax is unable to fly, and is missing quite a few feathers from his wings, making them look a bit skeletal.
Well there I go, forgetting one of the most important details. 🤦♀️ I knew that about him. I don’t know why I didn’t say that.

A couple months ago I thought it would be fun to release it on Valentine’s day for marketing purposes, and that of course didn’t happen, lol. But it’s also one that is fully edited and I thought why not since the others I may have liked over this one are still being edited, and my Saga needs another read-through before I relea…

Gotcha. Well, changing the blurb to reflect the pacing won’t be very hard. Blurbs are never quite right the first time I jot them down.
Ah, so this is at the top of the list now. Why is it the book you want to publish next? Why did you enjoy writing it as its own thing separate from your other projects? (Idk about you but each…[Read more]

Oohh, okay. Yeah, I remember you talking about this one. The blurb reminds me of Sector 5 but has romance mixed in. How long have you wanted to publish this one?
Haha. It feels like the opposite to me! Feels like a really long time ago, probably because my writing voice has changed so much. But I understand…[Read more]
