This is like, the fourth time I’m trying to post this, because, for some reason, it wasn’t coming up before, so, if like a couple hours later, there’s like four of these…that’s why. *shrugs*

To answer your first question: Yes, somewhat. Personally, I have an extremely hard time with schedules and time frames and such. So, it’ll sometimes be a month (or, three, thankfully only once😑) before I post something. Of course, it also depends on what you’re planning on blogging about, and if you have a good amount of follows. Now, obviously, just starting out, you won’t have many (I’ve been doing mine for almost two years, and I still only have about twenty or so followers. Annnnnnd, some things are harder to keep on top of and have set schedules for. But, as with anything, if you have a will to see it done, and be consistent with it, and if you actually enjoy doing it, you should have no problem keeping up.
Second question: Absolutely! With a blog, the possibilities are nearly endless, and I definitely think it’s a good way to branch out a bit and try different things. I try to have a lot of variety on my blog, just because I get bored with the same things. I post book reviews mostly, but I also like to write various short articles, share some of my artwork, and just random things. (I think I did post a short story once, a long, long time ago. It was awful, but, still; variety! 😀
As of any services… I use Blogspot, and I love it! But I’ve heard good things about WordPress too. My mom used blogspot for her’s, and so I naturally used it too. It takes just a little while to figure out all the features it has, but after I did, I was super happy with it.☺ I definitely recommend checking it out.
@corissa-maiden-of-praise, unfortunately, I will not be going. 🙁 I would’ve loved to though! I don’t live too far away from there, and it would be awesome to meet you guys! I’m going to be super busy next week though… I hope you all have a great time! 🙂

All the candy in the world has disappeared, along with all recipes and candy makers. You read in the news that investigators have found a suspect, and he’s being held for questioning. That night, a box appears on your doorstep, chuck full of candy. On top is a note that reads: “Think of eating one piece, and I’ll hunt you down.”
I know, it’s bad. 😛. I was tagged, what could I do? They are fun to try and think up though. 😉

I got 24,400… sorta surprised. I thought I’d do better than that, but, I did get a higher score than @daeus, soooooo I guess I’ll be content with that. 😉 (…assuming you actually did get 21,400, which, frankly, I’m not buying it)

Ooh, I like it! Although, I’m really not the best judge when it comes to stuff like this…Haha! But it definitely kept my interest throughout.
I don’t have anything to add, really. I agree with what @kate-flournoy said about the sentence structure. I did notice that, but, overall, I think you did a great job -much better than I could’ve done. 😉 I’m horrible at writing these things!
As far as a rating, I’d give it an 8 as well.

Ah, the age old discussion…
I, personally, do not mind reading occasional swearing or ‘bad language’ so long as it is significant in it’s use and does not take God’s name in vain.There are a few times, I believe, that it is okay to use harsh words in a story, but only certain ones. As @warrioroftherealm has stated before, the D-word is not as bad as some others. Does that make it right? Not really… but I agree that it is not as terrible as some others I know. From what I’ve seen in the posts, it seems like most everyone else also agrees with this.
Now, I do not go around spilling bad words all over the house, but there are a few occasions where one slips up. I know it is wrong, and I am certainly not proud when it happens. But it happens sometimes, nonetheless. Therefore, we must assume that it can happen to our characters as well.
In certain situations, I believe it is passable -not necessarily right- but passable, to use a word such as “damn” or “darn”. Even “bloody” or blasted”, as @anne-of-lothlorien mentioned above, are not as awful as the S-word or worse-ones which I will not mention.
If you have an acceptable reason to say it, then say it, or rather, have your character say it…
I feel as if I’m beginning to stray off into the discussion of whether or not swearing is bad -forgive me for that. Yes, swearing is wrong, and I am not trying to say otherwise. I am just trying to point out that, I believe, in certain situations, swearing is tolerable in a story. And, if you are really worried about some readers taking it to heart, one way to get the message across that swearing is wrong would be something like:Aron almost flinched as well, at his sharp words. They had a bad taste in his mouth, and he instantly regretted saying them.
It’s not much (nor a great example 😛 ), but reading Aron’s reaction gives the impression that the words are wrong, or at the very least, not good, and that’s better than not saying anything about that fact that he just swore, and ultimately leaving the reader to ponder whether or not you, the author, approve of the swearing.
This is definitely not a set-and-stone, solid theory (this is my first time even explaining it). It can definitely be explored further, and it should be. But it is what I believe when it comes to using coarse language in books.
I know that not everyone has the same views concerning this. So, if anyone has anything to add (or contradict), please do. 🙂
