The worksheet, though, will essentially just be the list of questions I ask at the beginning of this thread put in a more elegant format, so I recommend you just use those questions on page one of this thread to guide you through this exercise. 🙂

I’m wanting to learn how to write a more impactful and enjoyable story.

I’ve had some kind of theme in my writing before, but I haven’t been using it very powerfully or interntionally. Especially in my recent writing.

I’ve tended to confuse message and theme. What I thought was the theme for my first book, was most definately a message. Yet I held onto it somewhat loosely and some other themes developed along the way, so I don’t think it came across too strongly.

@aella I love that! One of the most intimidating things as an author for me is to read a really good book that really moves me and wonder how I’d ever be able to write a book as good as that. Theme definitely helps a lot with that, though, so that’s a great motivation for delving into theme more!
