@daeus love the ‘When fate seeks to destroy you, where can you turn?’ hook. Much better than the others. 😉

@Daeus *emerges from dark library blowing dust from her hair and wiping her hands* I’m sorry, I’ve been horribly remiss in keeping up with things.
I love ‘When fate seeks to destroy you, where can you turn?’ Like, really really love it. Lovely. Go for it.

@that_writer_girl_99 @graciegirl @catwing @emily @jenni-grace @winter-rose @josiahdeboer It’s been a while since I wrote with you all! I see you’ve made a new Corner. Let me decorate. *hangs a bouquet of pink roses over the door and scatters petals everywhere* There. Now, would anyone like to write with me? I’ll bring truffles and raspberries.

@kate-flournoy I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M SO LATE TO THIS PARTY! But congratulations, girl!! *ceremoniously passes over large box of confetti* Let me just say though, I think a title like “The Cooler Community Happiness Director” would be more accurate. 😉 Keep being awesome! Can’t wait to see all the cool things you keep doing here at KP!

@warrioroftherealm I think it sounds fine, though it is a tiny bit rough. Fyi, I think the first two sound like high-action novels with warrior monks and lots of gut punching. The third one sounds more like a high fantasy to me. Something a little quieter, but that has really good world building. Like I said before though, the cover will affect…[Read more]

@warrioroftherealm One or three. I probably like three better, but I think it largely depends on what cover design you go with.

@emerald-flyer Makes sense. Wayne Thomas Batson’s Dark Sea Annals are probably my favorite works of Christian fantasy and he’s currently re-releasing them this month, so if you’re looking for new books in the genre, that would be my recommendation. 😉

Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Discussion for Video Six: Positive Character Arc in the forum Discussion Questions 9 years ago
@perfectfifths Cool; to expand that a bit, putting otherwise-unsympathetic characters in sympathetic relationships can be really crucial for building empathy between the characters and the audience. If a sympathetic character likes an otherwise-unsympathetic person, it’s easier for the audience to like that person as well, which sounds like what…[Read more]

@christi-eaton Thank you so much for sharing. This gave words to thoughts that always confused me. In the past, I have tested as an extrovert. But I think certain life experiences have molded me into more of an introvert. So I can speak for the extroverted ones: they must pass through a season of depression and loneliness to see art and beauty and…[Read more]
