I can’t even imagine wearing something like the things they wore 🙂
Thanks!
Oh, do you know the costume Anya wears in Paris in Anastasia? The white one? I quite like that, but you’d have to tell me whether its historically accurate 1920s costume.

@valtmy I love it 😀 I’ve had an idea for an Australian based fantasy for ages, because we have such an unique, but no one ever writes Australian fantasies. I haven’t got around to writing it yet though. I like the idea of the nomadic sea tribes one. That dress is so pretty….
@rochellaine *stares at pictures* Honestly. it looks…[Read more]

I have a bunch of favourite periods. I like the Roman occupation of Britain, but that doesn’t count, and the early Middle Ages (1000-1200). But as for modern historical period, I find the French Revolution and the early colonial/exploration days of Australia interesting, but probably my favourite period will always be World War 1,…[Read more]

@rochellaine (I don’t know why, but I just tagged myself)
My favourite costume she wears is her military one, it looks really pretty, but simple and formal and I’d love a dress like that :D. And her riding habit is really nice as well. But you probably know by now that I’m all for practical and ball gowns just don’t interest me (though in my more…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s really interesting! I’m not into fashion very much, so when I do research on historical periods or write historical fiction I tend to learn about as much of it as I can get by on and leave it at that, but obviously, that approach has its drawbacks 😀

Hmm…Interesting. Those last two pictures you had have dresses very similar to the ones that I was referring to. I just find it interesting because a lot of her other costumes are exceedingly modest, and then there’s just these random ones which are extremely revealing (like, I certainly wouldn’t be wearing them!). I suppose the…[Read more]

@rochellaine Cool! I’ve never seen a production of Swan Lake, though I think it would be really pretty!
Well, I’ve been watching the tv show Victoria, and there’s this one dress Victoria wears regularly that really seems a bit….edgy for the Victorian period. I’ll see if I can find a picture of it…
I’m having trouble finding a picture of the…[Read more]

What are you working on? Listening to anything at the moment (I’m currently listening to Anastasia).
By the way, since you know more about historic fashion than I do, I’ve got a Victorian related clothing question.
Awesome! *tries to think of a question that doesn’t sound weird* Did you have a good time?

I think so, I’ve been quite lonely by myself.

@alia Bye! I love Jonas so much! I’m currently rewriting the scene with Chessy and Jonas at the speedway and my love has been renewed 😀 I also love Jean. And names that start with J.

@alia I agree with Rochellaine, I think it could be hidden in a hill, or a riverbank or something like that. I’ve always wanted a house like the one that the Ingalls lived in, in I think, On the Banks of Plum Creek?
@rochellaine Well, I’m glad you think I did a good job. I do love a good redemption arc (my favourite thing to write ever!)

Well, I don’t usually like bad boys, so I don’t write them very much, but they’re coming more and more popular in contemporary fiction. I’m a solid believer in the good men, who aren’t boring. Hopefully. (Quiiiilllloon).

Maybe, I don’t know. 😛
Well, I guess Dorian Grey started off as a bad boy and ended up as a villain. Byronic Hero is the “technical” term, seeing as Lord Byron wrote a lot of them.
@jenwriter17 Hello!

Well, my definition is definitely something that leans slightly more toward Justice than Zac. Not that Justice is really a bad boy. In the books I’ve read though, the bad boys are definitely dangerous, sarcastic, cruel (Oh goodness, I’ve been editing Stars and Justice is so…horrible to absolutely everyone. What Chessy sees in him I…[Read more]

Well, I guess I always imagined him the way he is because when I first came up with the concept of his character, he was a lot like Dmitry, from Anatasia, and that guy, Derek Klena, is the actor who plays Dmitry on Broadway. So my brain just kind of linked them.
Robbie Amell is probably the last person I would have ever thought of…[Read more]
