Forgot to mention, they also have intelligent looking faces and can camouflage like a chameleon. Their life span is about 20 years. Until they are 2 their scales do not harden. Past the age of 15 they receive the title, “Æglis”. They remain awake all day but immediately go to rest when the night comes.

Funny you should ask. I’ve been wondering that myself. I happened to lend it to a traveling sales man and – well … don’t do that. If you happen to find it though, let me know.

Did Sauron’s twin brother by any chance go by the name ‘Ezra’, or perchance ‘Wilkinson’?

From Webster’s original dictionary …
A Faerie Dragon-Fly:
“A small winged creature ranging in length from 1/2 to a full foot. They inhabit all warm areas but certain species have different preferences. The common faerie dragonfly may be found anywhere except in caves but principally inhabits the northern meadows. The argock species is known…[Read more]

What could this corset do anyways? You say it is of all power, but what do you mean by all. Can I (excuse me, one who is wearing it (not I. Ha!)) rearrange the order of the universe simply by touching their nose with their left hand?

How did you make cool creatures without having them cliche?
By inventing your own. I think I might do that, just for fun. I wouldn’t write a story of of them, but I would just have fun creating the most insane unordinary creatures imaginable.

Hey, I like that one. Poor guy— I hate math, so I sympathize with him. The drama was good. Not overdone— just what someone who hated math would feel like.
Take it from an expert.

It seems like everyone got the same basic idea with that bizarre platform in the black mist with the radiant planets surrounding the disc. I had noticed that the little red guy seemed to have a heroic look. I had the idea that if you jumped into one of those planet pictures you would be transported to it. I was imagining that the little red hero…[Read more]

See that’s funny— I didn’t even think of evolution vs. creation. 😀
I’ve not done one for this week’s prompt yet. I’m working on it, and I don’t know that I’ll be able to come up with something original enough to embarrass myself by submitting…

Yup— the one you won, and let me say also you did great with that. I’ll post it, if you want.
‘His eyes behind their horn-rimmed glasses roved restlessly over the sea of faces before him— skeptical faces, he realized with a shock. They did not believe him. But then, why should they? There was no reason to abandon the narrow, logical world of t…[Read more]

Well… *glances around uneasily, shifting dark eyes from shadow to shadow* you haven’t been taken down yet… so… here goes.
‘They struck off his chains at the entrance to the Vault, and throwing him into the darkness slammed and barred the doors behind him. Leaping up, he threw himself against them, but to no avail.
