I was… it hurt. I was so disappointed. It’s difficult to remember that there have been political disappointments in the past, and America survived them.

@bluejay I like the topic for the poem! 😉 However, I agree with @Daeus that there isn’t really much rhythm to the poem…I would work on the meter and rhythm a bit and go from there. Great idea for a poem, though! 🙂

@hannah-c I don’t know if I can concentrate for three hours, but I should be able to handle 1 1/2.

What exactly is it you’re looking for @bluejay? If you want to bring this thing to perfection, it’s gonna take a lot of work. First of all, there’s not much form to it – just two sets of rhyme and no real meter to speak of.
