@ethryndal Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when Eustace was writing in his diary about his cousins.
Well, he’s not as dead as we would’ve hoped.

@ethryndal Btw, Animal Farm is a good really short read if you want to see an example of a negative arc.

@ethryndal Yeah, negative arcs are rarer these days. If you can’t think of any you’ve read, that may be a good reason to pick a negative arc book up so you can see what it’s like. And @daeus had a good example as well.

I’m going to agree with @Sarah-H and @Ethryndal on the tone of the picture, but you did do an excellent job with the composition and balancing the colors. Good work also with the character’s reflection. Those are not easy! 😛

@Rachelle Fourteen book series! 😮
Nah… Les Mis probably isn’t that long. It might seem longer ’cause it’s all in one chunk; but it’s only got 1460 pages. 😛@Ethryndal Ahem, read above line and be grateful. XD The Silmarillion’s only what, in the 300s at most?
I know though, the preface—his letter to his publisher Milton Someone-Or-Other I…[Read more]

@r-j-wordsmith
Fantasy is lots of fun, especially if you get lots of world-building ideas.
Two of my novels are part of a series (that I will likely never finish since it’s my first and I didn’t plan anything out) while the other is just a random practice novel. =P@aratrea

Thanks for the input everyone! It looks like the best option is going to be February 24th from 3-4 PM EST, so we’re going to be scheduling the Q&A for that. I’ll be sending out an email the day before with a webinar link, and will also make sure to post a link in this thread! Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible there. 🙂
And to…[Read more]

@r-j-wordsmith *shudders* I’d melt if my book was hidden beneath others.
@kate-flournoy Indeed. I’ve been trying for months to regain what I had been able to do before, write what I love, but I’ve been so caught up in trying to make it world-worthy that I’ve forgotten what I’m actually doing. I read through my old work, and in comparing it to…[Read more] -

@Rachelle Ah, and you know Pride and Predjudice too, I see. 😉 (I think that’s the reference at least…)
I do piano too, and violin.What, 2 movies and the Broadway musical?! You’re further along in that department than I am (yet. That must change.). Yes, it’s a very big book, but so worth it.
@Ethryndal You need support, eh? Poor thing. Is it…[Read more]

@ethryndal, I saw in a thread that you’re reading the Silmarillion, and didn’t want to derail the topic. I have read it, more than once, and enjoy it, so if you want support, feel free to talk to me.

Heh, well I’ve only dabbled so far and they’re not very good, but I’ll look through them and see if there’s any that I won’t cringe too much for others to see. =P Maybe I’ll make an art topic if there’s a place for that on this forum…@kate-flournoy

@Northerner Aw, thanks. I’m not very far into it yet, but I really like it so far. It’s just one of those books that you find yourself rereading paragraphs several times to make sure you got everything… so yeah, you probably will hear from me again on this subject in the not-too-distant future. 🙂 Thanks so much for the offer!
