@epicaddie2 Your welcome!
I’m doing writing now. I edited through two chapters. *has no idea if that is good progress or not really good at all*
For some reason at one point one character is crying. (So I was a teeny bit. sort of.) And that part was like her forest was going to get taken away. Which was never in the plot. Weird…
Bye. -

Yeah @epicaddie2 that’s the siren part of her. She kind of rejects the fire part of her, so she try’s to never use fire. Since that’s from her dad’s side and people never like her when they know who her father is. Except a few people.
*coughs remembering in one book where the character was in her dreams as reality, but it was really a nightmare.…[Read more] -

@epicaddie2 I would also probably add some weird creatures friends for her and the Siren civilization… though I can never decide on her powers.
controlling coral? Or water?
Though now I thinking more of coral powers. So she can carry a bag of coral sprouts that she can toss and then grow them.
And I would possibly change a few scenes… Like…[Read more] -

@emily I use Powerpoint, actually. XD It’s easier than Paint. 😛
@jessi-rae Well, not subspace, but it does have to do with lots of computery stuff. It is sci-fi. And wow, are pictures for sci-fi hard to find!
@winter-rose 😀 Thank you, Frodo! Unknown realms are hard realms. But fun realms. Me loves sci-fi, but the fantasy pictures are the…[Read more]

@epicaddie2 No, it’s definitely helpful. It’s an interesting way to think about it actually, since I feel like a lot of actual conversations have small talk that wouldn’t have a place in a story when you’re trying to move the plot forward. I’m not sure about having characters saying “um” a lot when they’re speaking. I’ve written some conversations…[Read more]

eesh. I only recently learned what a character arc was, and I’m still trying to figure out how to write one. @epicaddie2 But what @dragon-snapper said is right. We’re people, constantly learning what’s right and wrong, just like our characters. If you strive to portray that accurately, then I’m not sure you can restrict an arc to any length.…[Read more]

@epicaddie2 Not from what I know of. If you’re worried that the character arc isn’t going to fit in your book, then I’d shorten it, but the characters is what carries your story. The character arc should not be immediate or too small. Character arcs can last for a few books maybe too, if its a major life aspect.
But if you think about, our lives…[Read more]
