  • @Hannah and @Emma, glad you like my username hahaha – it’s actually just Sarah. I didn’t realise that the username would be the given name. I thought it would be something like an instagram url or something. Well, at least people like it! It’s actually the name of my blog thehappybookaholic.wordpress.com so you might want to check that out. (Ooh…[Read more]

    Oh, Wow! Y’all are fast responders!
    @Tatiana,
    They are definitely good, although I do realize that some people have different preferences, and they don’t fit everyone’s reading taste. I would try Mossflower- if he has it- to start out on, it was one of my favorites (I realize I have pointed out Mossflower several times- but still, it’s good 😉 )

    @emma You’ve read Runt the Brave!!!!!!!! I finally got “The Curse of the Seer” and it was pretty good! I’ve read all three now, and I thought he did a pretty good job!

    • Yes, I have! It was very good, of course. I thought it the parallel to biblical events was interesting as well. I haven’t read Curse of the Seer, but I hope to soon.

      • I agree! Curse of the Seer was not exactly how I had expected it for about two years but it was still very good!

    I’ve read both those series! They are pretty cool. 🙂 Michael… *cries* The scarecrow will never be forgotten. And I liked Bernie Greene too, actually. Even though he barely showed up, the situation he was in… XD poor guy. I think David is my favorite, though.

    @Hannah Lowe
    I’ve read the red reck mysteries. 5 stars for all those…[Read more]

  • @emma Wait, you like Ray Bradbury too? I’ve read Fahrenheit 451. That’s such a brilliant and amazing book. (Minus Ray’s rather careless usage of rather bad language.)

    Pretty hard to get a feel for his style I suppose…I was highly confused as to what was happening for a good portion of the beginning…but once I got that settled…it was…[Read more]

    • Ray Bradbury is pretty fantastic.
      How do you like his open endings? I know a lot of people didn’t like how F451 came to a climax and close so suddenly, and was so character driven, but those are some of the things that I liked about it, honestly.
      Really? Yeah, his style is very….stylized xD I got muddled more towards middle/end on the first…[Read more]

  • @Emma yes I think it would be adorable but how would it be unrealistic? 🙂

    @Reagan oh dear I hope not!

    @Daeus I don’t think it should be avoided in every book but a good deal of them could do without it. Now me, I love romance books and probably the majority of books on my shelf are romances but even I can see they do get in the way sometimes.…[Read more]
