@Graciegirl I’m still working on the shadow functions, but I definitely agree. MBTI is amazingly thorough.

By the way, I took the Enneagram test and am indeed Type 4, the Individualist.
Oh, and it also said my mental health was ‘above average’ which was frankly a bit of a surprise and a relief all at once. :’D

@Daeus yes it does. It explains the very core of you if you study it correctly, and the combinations of your different functions explain how you act when you’re stressed and why. It’s just something you have to deduce by yourself. 😉
Which, personally, I think is a plus… XD -

@Aratrea well, I maintain the superior coolness of MBTI (it’s not a system, it’s a concept) *haughty sniff* but I have to admit that is pretty cool. 😉

@Graciegirl that’s actually fascinating and don’t worry AT ALL about writing long posts because we all do it. 😀
I haven’t looked into Enneagram yet… maybe I should. Because thisThrees with a strong four wing tend to be creative, introspective, private, subdued, intellectually oriented, and can sometimes be moody, arrogant and pretentious.

@Dragon-Snapper not usually, but I seem to be in a slump right now and I think it’s just because I’m so busy my brain is dead. I’ve been doing a ton of planning but by the time I get around to my writing time my brain is positively numb. *commiserates with you because she has no solution*
Actually maybe I do have a solution. I have noticed that…[Read more] -

@Daeus he was pretty much essential to the theme though, so I wouldn’t cut him without serious thought and a really good backup plan.
Which my brain tells me you already knew; of course, duh, but I figured I’d put it out there anyway. -

@Graciegirl HEYYYYY! SOMEONE ELSE OBSESSED WITH MBTI! (On a scale of one to ten, how obsessed would you rate yourself? Unfortunately I think I’m a twelve. XD) And a fellow INFP to boot! And someone else who has spent three years building one fantasy world! And someone else who loves both Tolkien and Elizabeth Gaskell! (Have you read North &…[Read more]

@Daeus ooohhhh, this guy. Quite honestly he really didn’t bother me. He didn’t seem out of place in the historical fiction, which I think he would have if it had been a sorcerer in the common definition of the word. I just saw him as this really creepy guy who knows (or half guesses) things that are gonna happen (and really, did it take a genius…[Read more]

Thank you so much, everyone! I haven’t made a decision yet, but I’m going to have to soon as my screen is continually getting worse…

The most exciting thing for me would have to be the idea that: “yes, I can pull this stuff together and make it make sense.” and to be able to think that my stories could actually come to life for a reader in the same ways as the ones we get to read.

Sorry about my absence, I had my wisdom teeth out last Monday and have been out of commission as well as wifi.
@ethryndal and @overcomer ‘s responses would probably be the closest to summing my thoughts up:
pulling everything together, and story planning. (I don’t do much, but it’s a nice idea, and if I could work it into what I DO do…) -
