@Hope nope, why should I elaborate? It wasn’t my idea. *cheeky grin* XD
*coughs* Writing in the Light, for those of the curious, is a very difficult thing to put a unique logo to. Aside from light rays and candles and lanterns and other such highly cool, highly overused symbols. Therein, apparently, lies its difficulty and unsuitableness.
Kate out.

@Mark-Kamibaya yes. Most people do use it as a classification system, which bothers me to no end. If you dig down deep and really get to understand the process though, you’ll see the sixteen types are really only a general summary of probabilities built on the common tendencies/stereotypes of the different functions. (Not cognitive functions;…[Read more]

@daeus LOL! I guess I trust psychology a little more than you. Your statistical achievement is really something. It made me rethink my position on MBTI and my chances to win the Powerball. But you’re still assuming MBTI is correct. I would rather try to empirically find out evidence instead of trying to prove a theory. It’s begging the question…[Read more]

Oh, no. The clickbait actually worked.
@daeus I see the point you’re trying to make, but I’d have to disagree with you on the case of psychology and science. Sure, psychology is a broad and undeveloped arm of science to be sure. But to discount psychology as “crazy” or “pseudoscience” seems a bit extreme. To prove MBTI through its immediate…[Read more]

@BethanySinkyRoses also just like to point out; this—
However, I have read MBTI blogs which treat the analysis like another “gospel.” (If you strengthen your weaker functions, you’ll be perfect or saved from your faults or sins.)

@Mark-Kamibaya woohoo! You are brave! 😛
Well, pretty much everything’s been said… how deeply have you studied MBTI? Do you view it as a classification system or pieces to a bigger puzzle? Because a classification system it definitely is not.
@Jane-Maree INFP?

@jess-penrose I totally agree.

Mark Kamibaya replied to the topic MBTI is Fake in the forum Characters 7 years, 4 months ago
@jess-penrose Exactly! I also use MBTI for characters, but then I trash it later on 😛 But I never got used to using it on people. I just thought the article showed me that MBTI (and the Enneagram too) is definitely not the end game when it comes to personality. So I thought of my writing buddies and the community here on KP.

Supposedly, MBTI has very little evidence backing it up. I found this article that explains the whole thing. But since MBTI is so crazy simple, I guess I’ll still use it for my stories 😛
