Thanks! She is actually an RPG character, but this drawing was so random, I have no idea where she is or what she’s doing. =P@emma-flournoy
Thank you, glad you like! =D@kate-flournoy
Thanks! The program I use (Clip Studio Paint) comes with some premade textures, so I mix and match my own changes with those to get the look I want. M…[Read more] -

A topic on Les Miserables!!! *glares at @emma-flournoy,* why didn’t you call me over here sooner. JK, (but seriously) 😉
First of all, I read this book probably about a year ago, but lately I have lived and breathed Les Miserables. (Pretty much literally.) (The character of Cosette is now in my bloodstream.) After just rolling off of four…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy, the sewer scene wasn’t actually too bad. Go read it. It’s not as long as the Battle of Waterloo thing. Which I read, but it went completely over my head, because I don’t know anything about Waterloo except what I learned in a Classical Conversations history sentence in fourth grade, and I only remember that because it was in a…[Read more]

@His-Instrument Oh look! A Les Mis RANT THREAD! :’D
@EMMA-FLOURNOY GET OVER HERE NOW.
*ahem* Love this topic. I could probably write a book about everything Les Mis did amazingly… you covered a lot of it. I’d also like to point out what a great job Hugo did of recycling characters— bringing them in again in all the most unexpected places…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy Thanks, but I don’t really want the meaning of yearning, I want the feel it gives you. That emotional code imprinted on it.
@graciegirl Thanks. Btw, The Count of Monte Cristo is my all time favorite novel and A Tale of Two Cities is my second favorite.
The crocodile toe–I was just trying to sell one to Kate. …Though I don’t…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy Yeah, I have them italicized where I wrote them, but copying and pasting it here apparently stripped it of its formatting.

Hi Everyone,
I’m working on my book description now and would like your opinion. The first paragraph is one I wrote a while ago and feel settled on, so I don’t think I’ll change anything there unless there’s a glaring error, but the second part is what I’d particularly like your help on. And…*controls explosive laughter* I totally flattered…[Read more]

@Daeus, yes, when I got a 5.5×6-inch printed copy, it was a little over 200 pages. But that’s not the size that the Google Doc version is.
@Emma-flournoy, I hope you won’t be finding that kind of mistake, though it’s certainly possible. You can point them out, I guess, but don’t make them your focus. Yes, I will need your e-mail. I’ll send you a…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy, I have it in a Google Document (because I don’t have Word on my computer, more’s the pity), to which I add a chapter a week. The document is shared with readers so they can comment on things. I send out e-mails letting people know once I add a new chapter.
Anything, everything. . . anything to do with plot, theme,…[Read more] -

@kate-flournoy, I certainly will. Maybe if your sister reads it, you’ll get a glimpse over her shoulder now and then.
@emma-flournoy, it’s 110 pages in the document, but each page has about 750 words on it because I use a small font.
@daeus, it may well need a second round of betaing, and in that case I’ll ask you again. -

@emma-flournoy,
I usually try to sell paintings, sometimes it’s fanart of Disney characters and stuff, so it’s pretty fun though I haven’t painted anything new in a long time. 🙁 My preferred method of art is are basic pencil sketches. I’m working on realistic portraits though I dabble in like an animated style every once in a while. What about…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy I’m just doing some online classes through Master’s college. I’ll have five under my belt before I head to Providence Christian College in the Fall. 🙂 My puppy is named Eponine (yes I named her after that wonderful Les Mis character) but we call her Eppi for short and she is an Australian Cattle Dog. I’ll have to send some pics to…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy, most definitely will be praying for you. Absolutely agree about those trembling hands. 😛 And also, did you mean ‘me too’ as in you’re doing a piano exam, or you’re praying? sorry, I wasn’t sure. 🙂

Yeah, it’s long. =o
Ahhh, that seems doable. I’ll look into it sometime!@winter-rose
Well, at the moment she knows herself as “Red”, but she also has a name that I can’t remember at the moment. XD
Oooh, that’s cool! I like the name Ember. Sparks interest. (pun intended =P) -

Thank you! Digital art is pretty much like painting/drawing except that all the tools are in a digital program that you can use from a computer or tablet of some kind. It has layers and stuff that make the actual process easier.
Oooh, that looks really cool and I’ll check it out when I’m at a place with a little better internet…[Read more] -

Five, wow! What will you be majoring in?
Eppi…that’s so cute. I figured it was after her…never heard of anyone else named Eponine. 😛 (Les Mis fans…what we won’t do. XD)
I know, gotta make money somehow. It’s useful at the very least. 😉 What kind of art do you sell?
