@Emma-flournoy, it doesn’t take much to be more practical than me. She’s mostly P, with quite a bit of J, probably close to the line but still safely on the P side.

I wrote a novelette for Camp NaNo. It’s woefully under the upper limit, which is kind of a good thing, and very unsettling, because that never happens to me. At the moment it’s a rough draft, somewhere around 12,000 words.

@emma-flournoy I’ve only read two short stories: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Rip Van Winkle. I liked Rip Van Winkle the best. It’s a very charming story. Before I read Sleepy Hollow, I was under the impression it was supposed to be scary, but it wasn’t. I recommend them both, though. Irving’s style is fascinating.
