@emily-d I have a friend who loves the Wars of the Realm series. It’s kind of funny, but I was picturing Sigmund Brouwer as an old time author from a long time ago, then I looked him up and saw the Robot Wars series and I was like, “Nope, definitely not from the 1800’s.” 😜 I guess because Sigmund seems like an old fashioned name to me.
I haven…[Read more]

@emily-d You like Chuck Black?!

@emily-d My brother’s read the Robot Wars series! I thought I knew the name of the author, but I had no idea what he’d written. 😛

@Emily-d I have read Chuck Black. It was forever ago, and I remember liking them. He writes allegories to Biblical events and people. I read most all of his Kingdom Series.
I’ve heard of Sigmund Brouwer but have never read his books. Didn’t he write the Orphan King? If so I’ve heard that one’s good 🙂

@emily-d Roman numeral scene lists?! *shivers* Never seen one of those, but it sounds awful! Like mixing math and writing. I read a book like that once for school. Not my fave book by far. :p
Thanks for the link! I’ve been on her site a bit, but haven’t read many posts. *addstolisttodo* -

@emily-d No.
@CK4always I read some of the comic versions before my family moved. I may read others after I get my library card.
@lady-iliara I haven’t watched it but I listen to it on Pandora. Perhaps I should. 🙂 -

@theacornman Well, I don’t own Battlefront or know anyone who does, but from what I’ve seen I would be a huge Battlefront fan if I was willing to fork up the cash for it. 🙂
@emily-d My favorite Narnia book is definitely The Silver Chair. Of the current movies I agree with you on VOTDT, but I didn’t know they were making Silver Chair into a movie…[Read more]

@emily-d No, I’ve never read any of Chuck Black’s books (I’m not much into fantasy). And like @salome01w4g and @perfectfifths, I’ve never heard of Sigmund Brouwer. What kind of stuff does Sigmund write? 🙂

@emily-d well I’ve heard of Chuck Blakc but I’ve never read any of his stuff, like Lousie, who is Sigmund Brouwer ?

Louise Fowler replied to the topic Just Chatter #2 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years ago
@emily-d Hey, Emily. Yes, we have audio dramas of the Kingdom series, so we’ve listened to three or four of those. I’d like to read Chuck Black’s books. I don’t think I’ve heard of Sigmund Brouwer. What has he written?

@emily-d Hey!!! I’m doing well! (especially since I’ve had more time to write lately 🙂 ) I miss our chats! We haven’t talked in a while. 🙁 Well, currently my life consists of babysitting, writing for my new blog, directing a Cinderella musical and squeezing writing my novel in where I can 🙂
What’s new with you?! Been writing much? -
Ingrid replied to the topic Inspiration Board in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 1 month ago

Hey! Wow sounds busy…and diverse! Would you mind passing on the link to your blog? I’d love to see it!
I’ve been schooling…As for writing, I’m doing some brainstorming/outlining K. M. Weiland style for my first novel! So excited! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Sure! https://rolenahatfield.com/
Ooo… brainstorming and outlining! I’ve heard lots of great things about K.M. Weiland, but have never frequented her blog. 🙂
Are you reading anything good right now? I’m posting about a good read I recently read on my blog this Sat. 🙂 Right now though, I’m reading a witty book called “The Penderwicks on…[Read more]
@rolena-hatfield Thanks! I’ll check it out!
Yeah, K. M. Weiland’s outlining stuff is SO good-none of those horrid Roman numeral scene lists. *shudders* 🙁 I can’t bear those things. How ’bout you?
I actually had a tab open with her site, so I’ll post the link. Hope that’s all good. 🙂
Tada!
