@dekreel that would be totally alright!
I LOVE the idea for the Keeper Adventure! (that concept drawing is great) I bet the story is going to be awesome 🙂

@dekreel I think I’ve seen a thread for that somewhere. Is that something like what Dragon Snapper did what the Legend of King Daeus? (I haven’t been on the forum in a terribly long time so I’m really behind on everything 😛 )
I’d love to make an appearance of it fits the story 😀

@dekreel okay, I’ll be careful. 😛
Alright, cool! I’ve begun to revise my plan, and your help might be just what I need 😉

@sam-kowal hi and bye! 😀
@shannon Hello!
Thanks xD (It’s mostly a true story–it occurred in a forum thread a while back)

@dekreel that’s very cool! I’m glad you’re…not evil now 😉
My backstory consists of once owning a flying cape and an invisible sword (I stole them from the Evil Overlord). Then, on a mission into a flying castle in the clouds, they were taken back from me. I’ve been pondering how to retrieve them ever since. 😛

@dekreel hello! Nice to meet you too! Oooh, you have claws? Might I ask how you came to have them?

@dekreel @that_writer_girl_99 I’m doing a bit of editing, if you’re still there 🙂

@kate-flournoy hmm…Destroyer does seem a little aggressive. It makes me think more of a sci-fi novel than anything else. I do see what Jane is saying about Victorious being a little too early though. I will…return when I have more thoughts 😛

@Shannon Ooooooooh boy. I’m probably not the most qualified to say anything on this subject, as I’ve had horrible struggles with my own characters, but… here goes anyway.
Like you, I’ve never had much luck with character questionnaires. And I think maybe the reason for that is because answering a bunch of black-and-white questions with equally…[Read more]

@shannon I’ll probably be back, but for now, KP does have a really good character questionnaire. A lot of questionnaires are dumb, but this one digs into the core of what matters. Check it out in our resource library. It may or may not work for you, but I suspect it will spark at least some inspiration.

@kate-flournoy ‘Victorious’ seems a little too soon. Like “oh yes here’s the book, but don’t worry they’re victorious in the end.” That could just be me though. When I started reading the blurb you have there, it made me think “Destroyer” which has a stronger sound and also shows the struggle of the story a little too?
That’s just my thoughts anyways.

@kate-flournoy I’m dying to read your book now because THE THEME.
Anyway.
I like “Victorious,” but also all the dozens of ideas suggested above are cool. My only contribution is “Vanquished.” I guess it depends on what sort of image you want to bring to mind with the title. Maybe imagining it on a book cover will help?

Daeus replied to the topic Title opinions? in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 5 months ago
@kate-flournoy I agree that Victorious works. You can always use subtitles too if the title seems to plain to you.
However, it’s worth looking into new titles.
And now I’ve spent ten minutes trying to think of something and I’m coming up with nothing. 😛

@Kate-Flournoy WAIT, HOW DID I NOT KNOW DUNSTAN GETS HIS OWN BOOK? That’s cool.
And honestly, Victorious doesn’t bother me too much. Granted, it’s not the kind of title that smacks you in the heart, but neither is it grating, like, say, Finding Freedom! or something horribly cliche like that. If you do end up keeping that title, I wouldn’t…[Read more]

I’m not really sure what you want me to say here, so…
Honestly, I think in a long series, like yours seems to be, simple, one-word titles are best. That way, they can be remembered more easily. I think Victorious is a good name, but some of the ones @dekreel mentioned would work. It’s your choice, but I think going with a one-word title would be best.
