@leon-fleming I do a couple of different types of translations: From Japanese to Chinese, Japanese to English, English to Chinese, and Chinese to English. Yes, I wrote a sonnet for class this year, actually. Out of the formats I used to write villanelles the most, I think.

@leon-fleming I used to write a ton of it. Nowadays, sadly, I don’t have much time or inspiration, so I write/translate song lyrics instead.

@leon-fleming No, haven’t really looked at language families. The most I know is that Korean and Japanese are both descended from Chinese, which makes them slightly easier to learn.
You sound like you really like words! Any favorite words?

@leon-fleming XD I’m afraid they look like messed up attempts at cursive to me. If I had more time, I would like to learn other languages. I’m currently trying Japanese, and I’ve been meaning to learn Korean… Thai or Icelandic would be cool as well. French if everything wasn’t impossible to pronounce. German’s okay, it’s just so hard to…[Read more]

@leon-fleming Here’s my best shot
–
The French fries lying on the floor,
Have been stepped on, and are no more,
The ketchup splattered everywhere,
All over my apron was smeared.
–
Pick it up and now try again,
A handful in the frying pan,
Hot oil splatters, burns my skin,
Isn’t my fault my shirt’s too thin.
–
“Would you like fries with…[Read more]

@selah-chelyah Haha thank you! I didn’t even notice the signature at the end lol.
Hmm…then can you write a five sentence story? XD

Something struck
Like the weight of a truck
And he flew through the air
And hit the wall, filled with pain
And thought he was dying again
But he saw her hair
Hanging down in front of him
And there she was, smiling at him
And helping him up
Apologizing for the excitement that she had
At seeing him.
But he was merely…[Read more]

I like how whenever KP sends me the update that either of you posted something, they’re in separate tabs. I dunno why Leon’s in promotions and Selah’s in updates. It’s weird XD.
Also, a poem of 25 lines or longer? I’ve written plenty of poetry when I was younger, several over 25 lines. You want me to post one? Or…[Read more]

@leon-fleming Ah, my cousins are all boys, but they and my sister and I make a perfect staircase (we’re all only one year apart). Then there’s my youngest cousin, who is eight years younger than me.
Ah, my family’s pretty messed up too. My grandparents were around before the Communists came along, so they’ve been through some pretty crazy stuff.…[Read more]

@leon-fleming Yay, friendship! XD
Honestly I think you two take up half the posts on the forum nowadays XD. Not in a bad way, of course.

@leon-fleming It’s still unintelligible to everyone save myself, unfortunately XD. And sometimes even I can’t read it. My sister says I’ve become the next da Vinci.

@leon-fleming If you two haven’t friended each other yet I’d be disappointed XD

@leon-fleming Ooh you sure have put them to good use. I think that the main reason why I never use my nice journals is because my handwriting is absolutely terrible. I can only bear to use school notebooks for stories.

@selah-chelyah You’re still young! I’m sure you’ll get the opportunity to travel a lot later in your life! I think it’s cool that we all have different experiences of life in different places, so that we can all write unique books from our unique viewpoints. And also, there’s the Internet nowadays, so that makes research a lot easier than before XD

@leon-fleming I really like Candymakers as well. I think I liked the first one a bit more. The character development for everyone was absolutely PHENOMENAL. Also, all that talk of candy was really mouth-watering XD
