Well you all are geniuses.
I mean really. I’ve been struggling with this stuck-ed-ness for months.
I took a five day break.
SO WHY DIDN’T A TAKE A BREAK SOONER!
I went back to writing today after missing it…for once XD… and wrote 1397 words that I actually like in one sitting.
So yeah. I LOVE WRITING AGAIN AND THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!…[Read more]

@daeus *Eyes widen in shock* *Stan roars like all the raspberries on earth are gone*
You don’t like The Secret Garden or Starship Troopers?
How alarming. What about that opening scene from Troopers? With bombs exploding, soldiers para… um, capsuling I guess… onto a planet full of aliens and destroying stuff?
I must admit, those two book…[Read more]

Jenna Terese started the topic First/Third person and switching POVs in the forum Plotting 8 years, 7 months ago
With my current WIP, I wanted to have three third person POVs. But as I’m continuing to outline and piece the plot together, I’m thinking that it really only needs one main POV. I really love first person, so that was what I was gonna do. But there is another character that I wanted to be a POV character. My question is: would it seem right in a…[Read more]

@dekreel pretty much ’cause it stops too many times, it doesn’t keep my attention. I’m not fond of some of the players’ cockiness either.

@dekreel You mean there are writers who don’t know about Kingdom Pen?! 😉
You know you’re a Kapeefer when the newest KP Cinema video is the highlight of your day.

@dekreel 😀 Thanks!
Stan is scared of them, though. So I didn’t show them to him. XD

Jenna Terese replied to the topic Writers' Corner #12 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 7 months ago
@dekreel Okay. A little cheesiness is okay; my family watches a lot of old movies/shows. 🙂
quick question: do you think switching to a third person pov would work in a mainly first person pov story?

Jenna Terese replied to the topic Character Art Exchange #2 in the forum Art 8 years, 7 months ago
K, I’ll do my best! I’ll be probably getting started on it tomorrow; my family is watching the Super Bowl and I hate football, so I’ll be sketching, outlining and what not then. 😊
Sorry, one last question: is it okay if it’s kinda manga style? that’s just what I’m used to, but if you’d rather not have it like that, then that’s okay.

@dekreel lol, thanks.
okay, so when you say red highlights, does that mean natural or dyed? Did you want the picture in color?
No I’ve never been to Frontier Camp. Would’ve been cool if we’d actually met in real life though 😉

@dekreel Les Mis is awesome! I’m from Idaho 🙂
Thanks @radically-surrendered! You should read the book! The unabridged version is long, but it has some neat history in it. I play the piano and banjo.

@dekreel Thanks, I’ll keep those things in mind.
Here’s a couple writing prompts I found on the internet. I think I might one of them for my WIP. what do you think?

hmm, I’ve never heard/read any Dr Who stuff (is it a movie/show or book?)

@dekreel AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Jenna?! That’s MY name! Good choice😜
I’d love to try to draw me….uh, I mean….your character. Could you find a picture on the internet that kinda looks like your character and post it? I do sooo much better when I have a pic as a guide. If not, that’s okay. lol, but I’ve never drawn acne before!

@dekreel I think the two worst books I’ve ever read were The Secret Garden and Starship Troopers. The main problem with both of them was that literally NOTHING with a quadruple capital N happened. Not to mention that they’re both very off philosophically.
I also put a book down 3/4 of the way through recently, which I almost never do. It was…[Read more]

@dekreel yeah I’m writing a dystopian. It’s set in the mid to late 22nd century in the USA. Just trying to figure out the plot. I know how I want my characters to change over the story, but a plot just isn’t forming yet. Any idea?
How’s your book coming? what genre is it?

@dekreel Yay! 😁I think I’ll join you. I’ll be outlining though.

Jenna Terese replied to the topic Book Recommendations in the forum Book Discussions 8 years, 7 months ago
@dekreel kinda said to say, but yes I do have a terrible book recommendation. It’s the Adventures in the American Revolution series. They’re more middle grade books, and really short. Younger kids may like them, but me being my age and being a writer, they were pretty bad. If you asked me what one book was about I wouldn’t be able to tell you,…[Read more]
