Yaaaay! *does a happy dance* I am so EXCITED!!! As for your questions:
1. Yes and no. 😛 In the character creator, you get to choose your first name by typing it in, such as my name of ‘Ariella’. There is another bar below it with an Aetherlight last name, such as Newheart or Mollisong or Darkgrate. Below that bar there is a randomize button that you can click to change the last name to one that you like, such as Fanglefeather or Sprocketspinner. It may take a lot of clicking to find a name that suits you, but don’t give up!
I’m kinda getting ahead of myself. In case you didn’t know, you have to first download the Aetherlight launcher off of the main website onto your computer. Then you have to let the launcher update for quite a while (that’s normal). THEN and only then can you create your character. After you specify you character’s appearance and name, you click ‘next’ and it will take you to the page where you type your username, put in your email (for account verification), and create a password.
2. You can email customer support if you want to change your name afterward, but that doesn’t happen very often.
3. Yes, if we met in a location for episode 1 people, we could still see each other in the game.
