@jess That’s a good point; I’m an ENTJ, and what you’ve said is true. It’s much more based on facts than feelings (although I always imagine what it would be like to be the other person, and almost always understand their feelings; my family sometimes thinks I’m crazy if we’re watching a movie together and they complain about one reaction being…[Read more]

Hello fellow NaNo-ers. I’ll tell you what happened. I wasn’t going to do NaNoWriMo this year. But then it was the night of the 31st and there I stood listing off the reasons I wasn’t doing NaNo and they weren’t good enough. So here I am NaNoWriMo-ing with you (or suppose to be but instead I’m telling you about it here on the forum :p)
If a…[Read more] -

Alright, I haven’t been on here in a while, and I can’t remember everyone who guessed mine, though no one got it right 🙂 … I think it was @bluejay @aella @kate-flournoy. But anywho, here are the answers:
#1 I am the only person in my family that does not have a sister TRUE *sniffs* At least God gave me a lot of Christian sisters to make up for…[Read more]

@bluejay Does Australia do daylight savings time, or are we going to be 15 hours behind come Sunday? (based on my conversation with a friend from China, I’m guessing you don’t… but I wanted to ask anyway. 😉 )
-
@corissa-maiden-of-praise Yes, we do Daylight Savings Time. Are you about to start/stop yourselves?
-
Yes, we end on Sunday. When do you start/stop next?
-
We have already started @corissa-maiden-of-praise
-
When do you end?
-
@corissa-maiden-of-praise Some time in March.
-
Sooo… we’ll be 15 hours behind you starting tomorrow? Or, actually, in about 3 1/2 hours?
-
And we’re logging out, preciousss. Maybe we’ll see you again later… tomorrow here. 😉

College… yay. Although I’ve taken a few classes already, and they haven’t been that bad, sooo… 🙂
I’m a junior, and I’m looking to likely major in either music or teaching, and minor in the other. (no, not writing. Not yet. I LOVE my writing, but *coughs* it doesn’t exactly pay very well under ordinary circumstances… *hides from accusing…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Believe me, you’re not the only one who’s figured it out. *cue evil laugh* I really think some of us writers would be very dangerous if we turned our minds to evil. Especially the ENTJs and INTJs, which I think make up quite a bit of the “population” on here… they can be pretty heartless. (right, @hope? 😉 )
You know, people are…[Read more]

Ooh, scifi… we can go a lot of different places, then. *grins*
M’kay… first idea. They could invent this virus that spreads by contact of skin to skin— it just has to touch you and then the spores go to work, and anyone else you touch catches the same virus. It’s a powder or something, and even one grain of it transfers the disease to the…[Read more] -

Okay. It really depends on the genre. Tell me the genre, and I’ll see what horrible outlandish things I can think of. 😛

@Daeus opera? Wow… never really considered that as a written thing, but now that you mention it, they are stories, aren’t they? 😛
Music isn’t really all that difficult— if you can read it and have the basic foundation (which learning piano is the best way to build, IMO) it’s fairly easy. Assuming, of course, you have the head for it. 😛 I…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy I think I’d collaborate on the music. I’m always composing music and am supposedly very musical, but I can’t actually write down the music (at least it would be very very difficult for me to do) and I really don’t like playing instruments myself and have very little knowledge of them.

Daeus replied to the topic Have you read…? in the forum Book Discussions 9 years, 10 months ago
@emma-flournoy Any movie at all. Though our family never really attends the theatre (for no particular reason), that experience decided me that the opera is my favourite art form. I don’t know if it will ever happen, but some day I’d like to write them along with my novels.

@emma-flournoy Yes, the play is amazing. Of course, they had to seriously abridge everything and they couldn’t possibly be 100% accurate to the book with the limited time, but I’d say they did a good job expressing the core elements of the book. The only issue is that stage directors can do anything they want outside of the script, so when I went…[Read more]

@his-instrument Yes, I have read it. I wouldn’t say it’s my all-time favorite, but It’s probably in the top six or so. Very excellent book. The play is equally amazing. Its music ranks number 2 for me right under the Messiah.

@His-Instrument YES!!! Les Miserables! My favorite book ever! I love that one. And you haven’t even got to the good part yet. *wiggles eyebrows*
And the Chronicles of Narnia— yes. I reread them recently, and was actually stunned how deep they are. I’d only had them read to me before, when I was seven or eight, and so much of the allegory I…[Read more]
