@rochellaine You had asked me a few months ago if I had read Twice Freed. I read it about a week ago, and liked it. (Although I still like my Onesimus better. 😉 )
I’ve never read the book Treasures of the Snow, but I have seen the movie.

The Writerly Adventures of Jenna Trapperton
Basically it’s like a roleplay, except KP instead of The Aetherlight. I (SPOILER ALERT) gave the KP Aetherlighters an appearance, too, so. . . ya.
I’m sure your servant was honored to have his photo taken and displayed for all…[Read more]

@xonos-darkgrate Hmm…so how do you know that your poor Asian boy will be your servant forever? Since forever hasn’t happened yet, how do you know how it will play out? You never know, he might find a way to escape from you.
🙂 😉

@xonos-darkgrate In my excitement, I hadn’t considered that. How silly of me. . . 😛
Hey, I’m glad I’m not the only one with virtually billions of unfinished story blurbs! Those drive me nuts. . . Pretty much the only thing I’ve ever finished so far is the KPA (which if you haven’t read yet, I think you oughta. . .).

@rochellaine I sure am! 😉 I’m not sure when exactly the group would be formed though. I’m still researching how critique groups are run, how online groups meets, familiarizing myself with Google hangouts, etc. Did you have any advice?

@xonos-darkgrate Well, I love history, so research isn’t a chore to me. 🙂
Have you ever finished or published a book?

Ariel Ashira replied to the topic Well I'm back, just not exactly in black. in the forum Start HERE 7 years, 7 months ago
@xonos-darkgrate I write mostly historical fiction, but have some ideas for a dystopian. Since I have so many I want to write, I try to just focus on a couple at once.
Do you write book length poems? I write poems, but not book length.

@valtmy @dekreel @kaya-young @seekjustice @jenwriter17
Thank you! This is helpful. I also read an older article Reagan Ramm wrote about cussing in stories, which had some good thoughts.

@xonos-darkgrate Hi! I don’t remember seeing you before. I joined the Kingdom earlier this year, so you probably weren’t around. Glad you are back just the same!
You aren’t alone because I still don’t know how to post a GIF either. 😉
What do you like to write?

@ariel-ashira Everyone’s answers were good, but what Seekjustice said is true. We can give you a bunch of tips and our opinions, but really it’s a matter for your conscience and personal prayer. I hope the answer comes to you soon! 🙂

I have been wondering about the use of swear words in my stories. Â As a Christian, Â is all swearing out of the question? Â Since I write primarily historical fiction, I want my dialog to reflect reality, but I also don’t want to go to far. (An example would be a roman swearing by Jupiter or some other god in his sentences.) Â Any ideas? Â Is ther…[Read more]
