The time has come, my friends, to begin a new writer’s corner.
To give it proper ritual, I suggest we do some writing. @jess @dragon-snapper @that_writer_girl_99 @winter-rose

Pardon one last correction, but I must say this.
One can not approach the infinite as in a dream, unless it be an opium dream.
For the infinite is not distant, because it is everything. Its distance exists only because it is everything that we desire, and because it is everything that we desire, it is everything that we are.
And so the…[Read more]

Bwhahaha! I must be dead then.
Daeus, get up. Why are you pretending to be dead? You’re so weird.

@kate-flournoy Now think of the fish beneath the lily pad. Small, thin, with large soft eyes, and slowly moving fins. When at last you have comprehended that, consider the word ecosystem, and don’t even try to comprehend it, but only sit on the brink of it and marvel, for you see the infinite.

Ah! This is too good to be true.
No, @kate-flournoy, I actually said it in all seriousness. I’m currently enraptured by lily pads. And–not as a symbol of salvation. You see, I’m seeing them looking in from the water towards the bank close to water level with a bright piercing sunshine and full summer foliage all about. The lily pads are in a…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 If you were wise, you would realize that the lily pads are more to be desired. I still haven’t gotten over the sublimity of lily pads. I can’t believe such a deep symbolic image came to my head.

@kate-flournoy Very true. I love being a poet. Here’s to hearts, and ice cream, and lily pads and other such things.

@graciegirl Well, I like being an F, but it’s just funny because I’ve traditionally thought of myself as an intellectual. It wasn’t until just a couple years ago that I realized that wasn’t exactly on spot. It was my high school teacher. She was an INFP. One day, out of the blue, she looked at me with a sense of deep perception and said, “You’re a…[Read more]

@northerner I almost want to cry too, which isn’t normal, so I think you’re fine. I hope you get good inspiration.

@emma-flournoy Alright *shoves longing and action inside a room together and locks the door* Good. They won’t be able to get out until they team up. 😀

@emma-flournoy Yes, Ramius is wonderful. *sheepish grin* I especially like his eyebrows.
No! I haven’t seen Rogue One yet. I so long to, but movies are the one area for me where longing and action don’t meet up very well.

@graciegirl That’s awesome!
So I act primarily through feeling? Sorry, I need to go have a good laugh about that. That’s pretty funny.
I love how much insight you can gain from just that simple difference.

@graciegirl At the top right there’s a blue button that says share. Click that. Then you will see a box and inside that another button that says “Anyone with this link can (blank)”. Click that and select either ‘comment’ or ‘view’. Then, copy that link and paste it here.

This is a great idea.
I recently watched a movie that I really loved called The Hunt For Red October.
The story takes place during the cold war and the premise is that there’s a Russian submarine captain who is trying to defect to the Americans. There are a couple problems though because he happens to command a special nuclear submarine that…[Read more]

@f5a8c3e92 Do you mean age nine? If so, I’m really impressed.
Not that they’re Byron or anything, but for a nine year old, they’re quite good.
I feel really bad, but for once I can’t really pinpoint what needs to be improved with these poems. I know there’s some tone, methodology, or approach about them that’s all the same but I don’t know what…[Read more]
