@kate-flournoy Yeah, that does sound pretty good. I’m having a bit of trouble because my two main characters are brits and my other characters are 14th century people, so all the dialects are foreign to me. I think I’m going to go brush up on my middle English a bit before I keep going.

I’m reminded of a saying right about now that I think is very applicable. I think it was penned by Longfellow. If I remember correctly, it says, “The pen is mightier than the tomato.”

Ok people, this is like my topic, so I might just say a thing or two.

As I already mentioned, rewriting is, in my opinion, the most educational thing a writer can do. Forcing yourself to fix major problems teaches yourself so much about how you actually write and how it should look in contrast. Here are some of my biggest lessons.

By the way, you might want to give some more detailed examples of your lesson for people who aren’t familiar with your book.

I’ve done a lot of rewriting and it’s a super enlightening process. I’ll have to think about this a bit and come back.
