@Daeus That’s awesome! I’d definitely recommend Lord of the Rings. It’s some of the best fantasy out there. 🙂 Or, if you didn’t want to read the whole series as it’s pretty long, you could read The Hobbit. The Wingfeather Saga is also great fantasy.

Ha. The whole point of rewriting is to make the editor’s job easier. 😀

@Daeus eh… well, I got to start it at any rate. 😛 I think I must be anxious or something— subconsciously stalling because I’ve been waiting for this scene so long, now that I’m approaching it I’m a little scared to mess it up… or something. 😛 It’s… kinda big. Harold just got home. For the first time in ten years.

@Daeus *ducks flying glass and sizzling wires* I’m with you. If you still exist after that. 😛 I might have to stop early. We’ll see.

@Daeus… my procedure? *coughcough* You’re asking me for a procedure. Oookay.
Honestly, I don’t have one. 😛 I have only one world, and though it is insanely complicated and intricate it has become so with four years of thinking and dreaming and wondering. Because I followed no procedure. I just unleashed my imagination and let it run wild.…[Read more]

I write to discover, I guess. Writing for me is a quest of sorts— discover truths, polish them until they shine, then bury them again for someone else to discover. It helps me understand the world and the nature of truth and the nature of God, and as such I guess it’s a form of worship.
I also write because if I didn’t my head would probably…[Read more]

@clairec I would definitely read your novel! It sounds very interesting. 🙂

Yay! Welcome to the inner circle, @Daeus! *confetti, balloons* Prepare to lose what little sanity you still possess. I don’t know what it is about writing fantasy, but the creativity required is addicting. I haven’t been able to return to historical fiction. *gasp**ominous oboe music* This is the point of no return.
Um… yeah. Books? Let’s…[Read more]

@ClaireC it sounds very interesting— not the typical nurse/patriot/combat story premise, which perhaps is what you meant when you said ‘alternative… premise’?

Awesome @Dragon-Snapper. I’m afraid I didn’t get much of anything. 468. *sigh* It might be because I reeeeaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy want to get to the next scene… and my brain doesn’t want me to. 😛
What did you get @Daeus?

@Daeus I’m on.

Ugh @Dragon-Snapper I can’t stand Snoke. *shudder* I’m glad you find him intriguing, though. The more you find intriguing, the more you have to look forward to. 😉
@Anne-Swiftblade that would have been neat too… revealing his face just then. But then you might have an overbalance of mystery. Not to mention we only really start getting seriously…[Read more]

Yeah, I kinda like that too. But I don’t think that’s how it’s going to turn out, what with all the mystery and stuff in her backstory. :/

Oh and Hannah, yes. Finn did change the way I saw Stormtroopers very much.

@His-Instrument @Daeus I totally agree with everything that has been said. (Like you needed my stamp of approval. I’m giving it anyway).
And yes, Hannah, I totally root for Gollum. Don’t worry. We’re weird together. 😉The thing I’m most worried about with Ren is the general incompetence of script-writers. (I know. So cynical). This character…[Read more]
