@Daeus yes! I love it!
@Christi-Eaton I read it as ‘Forced to confront everything he fights for—shattered; everything he cherishes— put to the test, and a long hidden truth’ etc. The everything he fights for is shattered, and he has to confront that about it.

Hello everybody,
I’m working on getting a book cover designed at the moment, and I wanted to see what your thoughts were on it. My personal thoughts at the moment are that I’d like the font to be richer, somewhat goldish though also with a bit of brownish-copper. I’m also thinking of having my name be the same color. My other thought is that I’d…[Read more]

Look at that, I have been called! Thanks @christi-eaton for the shout out! (but Christi, you know how this works. I wrote that article forever ago! It’s not fresh on my mind. 😛 )
@Audrey-Caylin, (This might all be a little late, but maybe it will help…) so actually I haven’t been able to shake the topic out of my head… so I’ve still got…[Read more]

Okay @Audrey-Caylin, so actually I haven’t been able to shake the topic out of my head… so I’ve still got some thoughts. First of all, I stand by what I said in my recent…[Read more]

Thank you so much for all this! @Christi-Eaton and @Kate-Flournoy, you just clarified all the millions of thoughts and opinions spinning in my head. Basically, you put my feelings into coherent words like you could read my mind. 🙂
@daeus, I’m so glad to be here! (just finding this little jackpot of knowledge and wonderful people is all I need ;)…[Read more]

@Christi-Eaton yes. I don’t think there was a single thing about it I disliked. The one thing I was a little miffed on for The Force Awakens was that the plot was basically ‘destroy this huge weapon that is blowing up entire planets’ which was pretty much the plot of A New Hope, but the plot for Rogue One was perfect. And perfectly executed. And…[Read more]

@Christi-Eaton yes! I know! I didn’t cry over it (for some reason I seem to have stopped crying about a year ago? 😛 ) but I was stumbling around in an emotional daze for the rest of the day. It was awesome.

@emma-l A hearty welcome to you! I just recently heard of Lamplighter books. Any recommendations besides the ones you and @christi-eaton have already mentioned? Are you working on any writing projects right now?
Also my sister loves to listen to Irish music! I wish I could record your Irish whistle, she’d flip!
Glad to have you…[Read more] -

@ethryndal We have goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and bees. 🙂
@kate-flournoy I write “poetry”, non-fiction, and historic fiction. I guess that’s what you mean by genres. 🙂
@perfectfifths That’s really awesome! I have been playing violin for almost 10 years, guitar for 2, ukulele for 3, and piano for almost 8. It has taken a lot of commitment, but…[Read more] -

@christi-eaton We should do a Skype or Google Hangouts thing sometime. Or you should just move to beautiful Ohio…and enjoy the snow and sub-zero temperatures. 😛
@kate-flournoy Just out of curiosity, what city in Ohio do you live in?
@daeus Hope to see you there! -

@Christi-Eaton ESTJs are amazing. 😀 Talk about getting things done! So the description of the ESTJ sounds more like you than the ISTJ, even though you’re introverted? Neato.
@Leumeister I thought it was cool. XD Any two types that have exactly opposite letters are polar opposites, at least in theory. So ENFP, ISTJ—both of those have…[Read more]

@Christi-Eaton
Like Chloe said, I find Pinterest to be pretty inspiring.
But also like Kate said, I love to pick a theme and the story usually develops from there. (She’s right about Proverbs being packed with good story starters!)
Other than that, I have a drawer full of ideas I’ve written down over the years for just the time when inspiration…[Read more] -

@Christi-Eaton actually I only ever write short stories if I have a really interesting concept that bears exploring but I don’t know if I could make a whole novel out of it. I write short stories as little allegorical pictures, I guess you could say. A lot of my short story ideas come from reading Proverbs, actually. 😛 The way I approach most of…[Read more]
