@Daeus sorry I’m late again… @Hope wasn’t kidding when she said I had mice in the wifi box. Seriously. Twelve of them. They were promptly ejected, but they did mess things up quite a bit… 😛
And that definitely sounds like it could work; your idea. I especially like the idea about the letter. One word of caution— I can tell you from personal…[Read more] -

Oh yeah…heh. 😛 @daeus
Well, I kinda like the black and white idea, but I would be warned to make it readable. I don’t know what your thinking of, but what I have in my head is hard to read. And are you planning on keeping the guy in addition to the noose and the girl?? or would you loose one of them. All three of those would look cluttered. I…[Read more] -

@daeus If he is struggling with something, he could be pouring over a book on a desk, his head in his hands.

@daeus Just a thing about that guy (who I’m assuming is Edwin Brooke)…at first glance it looks as if he is holding an axe, not a cane. (or is it even a cane) And I also am not sure about all the faded letters in his face.

Your graphic designer is going to hate me for that… 😛

@Daeus here I am! Returned from the dead!
*dives into critic-mode* Okay, I like it? First problem is it doesn’t fit the genre. Not sure it quite looks like a romance, but it doesn’t really fit the story. Some of that may be because of the boring brick wall but you said that’s going, so… yeah. For an action/adventure though it’s too calm and…[Read more]

I’m sorry, man. But it looks like a romance. Despite the title.

Overall it’s pretty cool. Here is what I noticed in order.
–That’s cool looking. A medieval guy in an 19th century setting.
–Wait, is this supposed to be a medieval guy in a medieval setting? It doesn’t seem like it. Oh well.
–Seems like a thriller. Although most thrillers have a back shot. Not a front shot.
–The guy looks very…[Read more] -

No… maybe I should just wait until the internet connection isn’t so spotty. That shouldn’t affect it, but maybe it does. And I’m about to lose signal anyway…

@Daeus That is cool. Those buildings! I love them.
I think your name would look better the same sort of color as the title, but darker; and also what Hope said—the fonts do look a little mismatched.
Though actually…I think it’ll be great once you change the name color, without changing the font.
And the stuff about the rain too.The title…[Read more]

@Daeus oohhh, I really like it. I would say yes, probably better to get your name matching the title. Also, a bit more technical piece of criticism here… my inner graphic designer is screaming at me that there should be more motion in the picture. It’s a lovely dramatic picture (love the shadows of the houses and such) but a lot more could be…[Read more]

@Daeus soooo… I read Cry the Beloved Country. I absolutely loved it. It’s a really unique book— not just the odd original punctuation, but the style, and the relative flatness of the plot, and yet it’s such a stirring book. It’s like reading a poem or something. 😀 Also it was a thinking book, not a preaching book, which I love for obvious…[Read more]
