You deserve it because you are such a sweetheart yourself. <3 Whether you knew or not, I didn't care, I just love finding ways to make people's days. It gives me an exciting purpose. 🙂 But it also helps that KP has just wonderful people that I love so much and I can shower them with that love even if they never know 😉

    • *crushes you in hug* <3 <3 <3 I. love. nice. people.
Btw, Kate told me about the role you got for Beauty and the Beast; I *sheepish grin* can't quite remember who it was…some lady. 😛 Was it the one you wanted, the drunk bandit?

      • I like nice people too, (and you are one of them)
No, not the drunk bandit, 🙁 but I’m playing Mme. Claudet, who is a boutique owner. Basically, her main goal is to get the Gaston character to love her, which requires an excessive amount of flirting, and our Gaston character (I can’t remember his name off the top of my head) is being played by my…[Read more]

  • IJ, you’ll just have to post some of your own Jane artwork when you are done 😀 See how they match up with what everyone else draws. 😉 (They are incredible, trust me)

Yeah, it was a pretty intense monologue.

And yes, we started with a basic audition of a one-minute monologue, and then afterwards we have call back where we are grouped with other actors to just cold read from the script.

@emma-flournoy in case you are interested this is what I wrote and performed. One time I was practicing it and got so much into Beck’s head that I actually started shaking. I had to quit because I got so into it. Beck is probably one of my favorite character’s I’ve ever written (she’s based off of myself in a lot of ways) Anyway, here it is.…[Read more]

But I was told I totally killed when I did my audition monologue, and that was really encouraging to hear. Especially since I wrote it and it’s nice to hear when they like both what you wrote and your acting. (my monologue gave me a lot of feelings actually because I wrote it as one of my characters)

I’ll let you know who I get when I find the…[Read more]

I’M STILL WAITING FOR THE FREAKING CAST LIST!!!! AHHHHH!!! It’s “supposed” to come out today, (but it never comes the day they say :/ ) I probably won’t get Belle though, there are a lot of girls with way more talent than I who could play her. I did a cold read for a singing, drunk bandit and in all honesty, I would be perfectly…[Read more]

    • Oh my, apologies. 😀 I guess they wouldn’t let you know what you get the same day you auditioned, now would they. 😛

      A singing drunk bandit…how LOVELY. 😛 A female bandit?
But yeah…I can see how that’d be fun.

  • @kate-flournoy Oh! I definitely see Cress. I like it. I can’t wait for the day when I can draw more myself. Hopefully I can do something tonight.

  • Guys this conversation makes my day everytime I procrastinate with school work and drop in here. Because I don’t have time to do any art lately *cries softly* but I have a brand new character I’m curious to see if anyone could her draw before I end up giving her a shot myself.

Her name is Cressida Thistlewood. (goes by Cress) In this odd world…[Read more]

  • @perfectfifths I totally would, but unfortunately, I don’t have time for any drawing right now. It’s my finals week. Maybe I can next week sometime if you still want me to do it.

  • @Abigail-Blomberg FEELINGS! I actually really enjoyed reading this and it was so good I’ll forgive you for breaking my heart. 😀 Good job on this one.

  • @perfectfifths Thank you, and aye, she does look a little like her. 😀

See, I have the opposite problem as many here. I drew this pic a little while ago and it is still bothering me because I have no clue who she is. So if any of you have a character she fits (or want to make one up) go ahead because I need a name for her. 😀 Also, I’m loving looking at everyone’s art.

  • @delightinlife Hello Bella! I’m glad to see you found your way into Kingdom Pen’s community! It is a fantastic place and I couldn’t love it more! I hope to see you around! 😀

I’ll keep you updated for sure! I’m so excited. It’s going to be put on with the same group I did Les Miserables with, Alethia Christian Theater, and it consists of high school and college students. It’s not the Disney version or the musical and I think they are going full Hans Christian Anderson Version. The cool thing is the directors for this…[Read more]

    @emma-flournoy.
Last night was my cast party for Les Miserables and they finally announced the next show! Pray for me as I have auditions for Beauty and the Beast on Monday! *runs off to look up new monologues*
Anyway, I’d thought you’d like to know 🙂

    • Wheee-haw!!! I’ll be praying, and tell me who you get! So exciting.
Is this some kind of famous play or musical, or is it something this college or whatever put together specifically?

  • @emma-flournoy, we had the lullaby worked in so Fantine sings it as she is daydreaming about little Cosette before she dies, then the little girl who played the young Cosette sang it right before she met Valjean in the woods, and then I was up in a window singing it and unbeknownst to me, Marius was listening underneath, and then the last time was…[Read more]

  • @emma-flournoy, if it is any consolation we didn’t do the musical, but I did end up singing a lullaby twice onstage so there was singing involved. 🙂 Also, that very last scene rips my heart out every time. So many emotions.

  • Unfortunately, it was not the musical. But it was still quite fantastic.

  • A topic on Les Miserables!!! *glares at @emma-flournoy,* why didn’t you call me over here sooner. JK, (but seriously) 😉

First of all, I read this book probably about a year ago, but lately I have lived and breathed Les Miserables. (Pretty much literally.) (The character of Cosette is now in my bloodstream.) After just rolling off of four…[Read more]

That sounds like such a wonderful plan! I encourage you to follow in your faithfulness to the Lord as I can see you are doing already! As for me, if the Lord wills it, I would love to get married and have a family, (my friends keep trying to play matchmaker and set me up with a couple people already but to no avail 😀 ) But I’d certainly love to…[Read more]

    • Matchmakers eh… 😛 I prefer to watch while God does the orchestrating. Not that I’ve ever had the chance…but I think that’s better. 😀

      Thank you, you too friend!
