Be prepared for a barrage of quotes. Brace yourselves!…
“Life is the messy bits” – Letters to Juliet
“When the sun sets, walk by the light of the moon.” – Yours Truly
“A man can be a man— well and good. A son can be a son— even better. But such they are without their choice, from the moment they are born. A king must be something more. A kin…[Read more]

@sam-kowal *looks down menacingly* And what have you been doing to earn a punishment?
Doesn’t matter, you can tell me after you’ve had your dues.
You, Sam Kowal, are sentenced to three days of labor in my ice cream factory. There are three rules.
1. You must have ice cream samples as often as you like.
2. You must work at exactly the pace that…[Read more]

@dekreel Yes…3 characters. Hmmm…
Ivy– Black-straight hair usually pulled back. Squinty eyes, focused. Not usually smiling. Intense. Wears a cloak. Green tunic, cinched with a brown belt. Brown boots. Green eyes.
Vinor– Gray hair Loki-styled. He’s not old though, he actually has quite a young face. Darker skinned, and lanky. Reddish tunic,…[Read more]

Here you go. What do you think?

I had way too much fun with Victor’s hair…
And I’m sorry if Jason turned out to look too Harry Potterish…it’s one of the first times I’ve tried to draw glasses on someone. *blink*

@supermonkey42 Random guess: Tomorrowland.
I’ve never seen that movie, but it seems like that quote would be from it.

@dekreel It’s a little different on Taranar. On Taranar, evil monkeys are constantly trying to steal inspiration so they know which kind of bananas to eat. On Earth, the first ten chapters are evil. Then, once you get past that, you just look forward to the climax. I also like to record how far into the story I am. I’m about 70% through the novel…[Read more]

@dekreel I’m about two chapters into that. Joel’s just about to have his life ruined. 😀 *writerly smile*
I’ve decided I’m going to write that after I finish up another novel I paused on though. That’ll only be 30,000ish words, then I’ll do the Kiwi story. 😀
Yep…I have way to many ideas.

@dekreel *gives you lots of material*
Well, thankfully I have backups absolutely everywhere, so I’m safe…but it certainly was weird.
They just…disappeared.

@Dekreel Both Damsel in Distress and warning the king. 😀 The more cliches the better.
And I just found out I’m missing an entire two chapters from my novel….*blink* Were they went, I have no clue.

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dekreel Well, the only reason I’m against captured is because there’s already some of that going on to someone else…although I do like the idea of Damsel in distress…although, I’m not a very damselly in distressy kind of person. Maybe the villain could think we’re damsels in distress, but we’re really just strong female stereotypes. XD
Yep.…[Read more] -

@dekreel XD That’s perfect.
Yep. Like I said, you help me with the bacon tents. I haven’t decided if we get captured or not. Which do you think is more cliche: getting captured by villains, or finding out something terrible and rushing back to warn the king?
