Gabriel Mai
He was relieved when Huntress volunteered.
“Wake me up in a few hours if I’m not up already,” He told her, before settling near the fire, using the crook of his arm as a pillow. He loosened his mask, before fully taking it off, realizing there was no point hiding his face when they had seen it already. He intertwined the…[Read more]

“Maybe we can,” Lucy said, her voice lilting as the thought occurred to her. She narrowed her eyes and watched the shadows vanish over the thick, gray horizon.

🤣🤣🤣 100%
Gabriel Mai
Gabriel looked up. He felt tired, tempted to lie down on the spot and go to sleep. He looked over to where the water surface barely glistened in the fog.
“I saw you struggling earlier with something in the water, and even with the raft, I don’t trust crossing in the fog at night.” He stood, wobbly…[Read more]

Thank you for responding! That all makes sense, but could you please ask someone to put that in the Community Guidelines? Cool for Justice that he did all that himself, but I’d consider it very important that the Community Guidelines are clear and concise.
I would never have made this post if all that was in the Community…[Read more]

“Mm-hm.” Lucy watched the crows with mild fascination. The birds still seemed pretty, in a blustering, frightening sort of way. “I won’t let ’em snatch you. Don’t worry.”

Can you imagine if he has a daughter?
Lol. They could have a mentor-apprentice thing going, like Barnes and Seb. I can imagine Gabriel training a kid to be the next Protector but barely letting the kid do anything because he doesn’t want them to get hurt.
but for a moment, this feels like heaven among all the fog.
It’s kind of sad he’s…[Read more]

It appears you all really like the Baron art. Tbh, it’s starting to grow on me. I want to do a piece with Gabriel as well, but I have other drawings to do first.

Can you imagine if he has a daughter? Lol, she’d be so spoiled just because he wouldn’t be able to resist her. I have considered giving him an adopted daughter in his story…I kinda want to do it now just for the chaos lol.
I know, I’m late. Apology pic from Pinterest:

I like that
Lucille
“Hm.”
There was a time last spring when a tiger was brought into a local show. It was treated better than Lucy had read about animal shows in science articles, but she still remembered the cat padding back and forth in the cage. Maybe if it was let out where it belonged, it would never attack any…[Read more]

Maybe Mel is seven, not eight. Idk. I was just realizing she reminds me of Lilo from Lilo and Stitch, who is only six. Ages are confusing to me
Lilo’s a great comparison. Yeah ages are confusing. I’ve been working with kids but I always forget the pace of the physical/mental change between ages 6-10.

Cute little Mellll
Lucille
Maybe the labyrinth was more important to talk about. But Lucy suddenly wanted to say things. “I bite people when I’m angry.”
Saying it out loud seemed harder for her than it was for Mel. “I’m ten but I bite people. I hit and scratch and every time I do it – it’s like I’m tellin’ people they’re right to…[Read more]

Lucy turned on Mel and studied her intently. Her silver-gray eyes occasionally darted away, but came back, as if she was pulled by magnets but cared more about looking at her new friend.
“If you – no. If you do that, is it – no. S-Sometimes…” Her voice lowered as she argued with herself over the right thing to say. The longer…[Read more] -

“Um. There was a… stone sitting area. A tower. A place that felt like a – uh – topsy-turvy house, except you can’t see it all from the outside. I named it the Crawlspace.”
Mel seemed impressed with the name, and Lucy was encouraged. She leaned forward, hunching her shoulders as she talked.
“Angry vines wanted to eat me. A…[Read more]

“Okay. I’m ten.” Lucy smiled. She awkwardly put her hands in her lap, took them out, and folded them. “I like your hair.”

“There were an awful lot of them. If they’re lost, they sure don’t wanna be found.”
The lemon bars melted in Lucy’s mouth. It had been a long time since she had any kind of citrus, and she tried to eat slower to enjoy it, despite being half starved. Her stomach rumbled happily. She took some of the bread and cheese and wrapped…[Read more]
