@bluejay Yep. It’s the bestistest sport in sporterdom. Bows are really neat, but you don’t have an opponent (for obvious reasons). Swordplay is just incredibly dynamic. Quite a mind game and it requires great exactness. Fantastic exercise too. Wish I still did it.

@bluejay Well, I don’t have a whole lot to show – 444 words – but as my fencing coach used to say, “Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.”

@Bluejay, thank you! Stippling takes a lot of time and patience, but I think that it’s results are the most realistic of all inkwork. It seems that it would work best for drawing animals with rough skin(crabs, reptiles, etc…), and I have seen a few stippled portraits of people. This was my first drawing with my own ink pens, and it suffered…[Read more]

That is important to remember, @bluejay . Everybody is different, which is something I need to remind myself when it comes to romance because not every guy is going to be charmingly eloquent about his feelings. (Sometimes my writing can be too poetic …)
Some say so much more by saying hardly anything at all, and still others speak for…[Read more]

That’s a good point, @daeus . I agree with you there.
I have one story idea for a romance, and I’ve got characters, some dialogue, plot twists, even a portion of the ending figured out, but the theme is missing. Why does it all happen? What is the inciting event that reveals the heart of my story, the “big Why” that gives purpose to all of…[Read more]

@bluejay, It was just right next to a window on the floor. Natural lighting generally works the best. 😉

@bluejay @kate-flournoy Well why didn’t ya tell a fella! (No bother. I just got here anyways.) *slings unproverbial rifle over shoulder. Jumps on bandwagon and pulls down cap*

@bluejay It was just an iPhone camera, actually. I think it was more the room lighting that he was doing it in.

Haha! Wouldn’t that be great, @bluejay ? I wish I could just pick out the kind of words I would be needing to write with, and then literally saturate my head with them. Guess I still have to do things the hard way . . .

Nice job! @bluejay I read that book forever ago. It was fun seeing it brought to life! I would just echo what Rosey said about not having to move all the time 🙂

@Bluejay That’s alright. Your loss, not mine. I got stuff written. I’m going out tomorrow morning (driving Dad as preparation for a driving test next week) and I don’t know what time I’ll be back home.

@Bluejay Sounds good. I’ll do that.

I wish I was able to dunk my head in a bucket of ideas. That is what I struggle with the most when it comes to writing.
I’m soaked with ideas. That’s actually one of my problems! :/
If you have way too many ideas @overcomer you can share them at the topic – Tales Untold under General Discussions. Just if you’re interested. 🙂
