At birth these two children were given the names Nicholas Wilbur Rothelburg and Scarlett Jaylie Rothelburg. They also happened to have been given these names at almost the exact same time, on the…[Read more]

  • @bluejay But Edmund was only infuriating the most in tLtWatW. Not Prince Caspian. I just hate the way Peter says, “No, no retreat! I can still do this!”

    Really!!!!!

Come one, you hold the lives of armies in your hands and yet you just be a jerk and say “Oh, don’t worry, my plans ruined, but I have to prove I’m better than Prince Caspian. Let’s…[Read more]

Hmm… Well I’ll gladly answer your questions, Doctor @bluejay
    1. Not overly so.
    2. I suspect I bruise normally. I don’t have many bruises, so maybe that will answer your question.
    3. Yes, it can be at times. I’d say there are about four or so days out of the week that I don’t get much sleep at all.
    4. Oh, I most definitely prefer reading a…[Read more]

    • Hmm *peers over glass rims* I wouldn’t be surprised if you have an iron deficiency. Sleeping was a big problem for me and I would much rather curl up on the couch with a book. I just didn’t have the energy to get through the day if I did too much. So I went on supplements to fix it and I notice my hair grew much faster. (Which is really nice) @faithdk

    • I applaud you, docter. Your analysis was spot on! 😉 I do, indeed, have an iron deficiency. In fact, when I was younger, I was very sick (not solely because of the iron deficiency, but it was a factor), and was put on many medications for two years. After no improvement, and my condition worsening, my parents decided to take me off of them and…[Read more]

  • @bluejay Ahh; this is fantastic. One of my favorite books. Probably don’t have time to join you all in this, but in the context of what makes the book so Austen-esque, I think that that character complexity, moral depth, understated wit, and clever social satire all play into what made Austen such a great author, and what makes Pride and Prejudice…[Read more]

@daeus Thanks. That makes is clearer. I should try one of those sometimes.

@hope is dauntless, and a little weird
Her writing is notorious and her wit is feared
To be on the end of her razor sharp mind
Is a scarring experience, I’m sure you will find

Can someone tell me what a visual poem is please? I saw @bluejay‘s poem that she labeled that, but then @daeus said it wasn’t really a visual poem and I wasn’t able to click on the link to see his. What is it? Cause when I know, I might want to write one. I enjoy poetry.

  • @kate-flournoy and @hope Yes, I didn’t really like the green mist thing. I loved Reepicheep in the movie, and I think they changed his voice actor from Prince Caspian. Oh, by the way, can a Christian girl swoon over a character in a movie? I’ve always loved Caspian, even though he’s a jerk in PC, just because of his hair, and his accent.…[Read more]

  • @bluejay @sleepwalkingmk I don’t know which version it is, I just know it’s the one with Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy out on the dock after their wedding. It was just too sick-y romantic for me. • @bluejay Is this a book club sort of thing? Can I just jump in?
I love Pride and Prejudice. The book is amazing because Austen uses this story to critique the people and their views of one another. And then her sarcastic commentary adds so much flavor to it. First classic I’ve read that made me actually laugh.

Oooo. Good luck in your efforts 🙂 I…[Read more]

    • @faithdk Sorry, I had to go out, so I couldn’t reply.
Yeah, they might work. Let me ask you a quick few questions, but you don’t have to answer them if you don’t want to.
      1. Do you feel tired a lot?
      2. Do you bruise easily?
      3. Is sleeping a problem?
      4. Do you prefer reading a book or running around?

@bluejay basically, yes -busy life. 😛 But I am trying to get back into the writing groove again. A few blog posts are really the only writing I’ve done over the past few months, and frankly, it irks me to pieces!
Ooh, that sounds interesting. But I have never heard of a pantomime… what is it exactly?

    • A pantomime is “theatrical entertainment in which words are replaced by gestures and bodily actions.” At least that’s what the dictionary says. So basically it’s more about acting your part out. Also if you are doing a Peter Pan panto he’s a girl. Please don’t ask me why, it just is. *weird* Although it did allow me to have him.
