Hey everyone! Just one more call throughout the Kingdom (along with the splendiferous help of @Daeus‘s tag) to see if any other KeePers will be at the Best of British Science and Bible Conference at the Creation Museum next Friday and Saturday! Just because I’ve not had time to be on here doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about you all, and I look…[Read more]

Thanks, everybody. 🙂
@kate-flournoy Well, currently it’s 66,578, but I expect it to get up to 70,000 or more by the time it’s done. I’m pretty much your opposite. 😛
@aratrea @winter-rose @jenali @audry-grace The basic premise is that these two teens, a brother and sister, accidentally find themselves taken back in time through this time…[Read more]

@aratrea @daeus *steps up to the podium* Here is my testimonial.
When I first joined Kingdom Pen, I had no idea what to expect. Although I had been writing for several years, I had only begun to scratch the surface of writing. From the Kingdom Pen writing courses to the rich vaults of articles, the scratching has grown into a dig. The Kingdom Pen…[Read more] -

The forums are wonderful. There are topics about anything and everything, and if you have a question, you’re absolutely free to ask away; even if you feel like the question is a lame one, it’ll get answered. I know that the forums have helped me to grow as a writer, and I’m eternally grateful for the people behind them!
@aratrea How’s this? Anything else?

It’s about half and half. The forums are great for specific questions, but the articles are good for learning more about general topics.

@daeus Where to start…I’ve only been here for a few weeks and already I love everything about KP…
(take what you want from this)Where to start? When I found KP, I was in a rough place. I knew for a fact that I wanted to pursue a career as an author, and that I wanted to one day publish a book, but I felt inadequate. With every passing day,…[Read more]

@Aratrea I concur with everyone else – looking deeper into the books/movies I read/watch and seeing how they did theme. And rewatching these videos. 😛 And applying what I have learnt to all my novels.
I’ve already had some instances when talking with my family after we’ve watch a movie and I start going off about character arcs and Experiments…[Read more]

@Aratrea I don’t think the finality of death had ever hit her before. She was always too worried about dying for the sake of a mortal to think about it the other way round, so when ‘died’ because of her, it startled her. It was something she’d never considered.

@aratrea Sorry I wasn’t clear enough. I’m worried that protecting the family heritage isn’t meaningful enough to carry the whole plot. My goal is to have a gripping story that captures how costly freedom is by showing how so many soldiers poured out their lives for our country to maintain that freedom.
So, that being said, family fortune doesn’t…[Read more]

I found this one a little tricky. My draft is a complete mess. I ended up choosing two scenes focusing more on an aspect of the story I hadn’ty mentioned before. The role sister play in their being men worth marrying.
Scene #1

Natalia has just left on a ship as sees a well-dressed boy running around on the ship. She knows he ought not be…[Read more] -

He is Risen! And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into…
