@waterlily I would definitely read this! It sounds interesting.

Btw, I’m a beta reader ready for hire (if you need me, that is) 😊 I promise to give you virtual chocolate, pizza, and oreos! No need to thank me….😜

@skredder I really like the idea! I read the beginning you posted too.👍 Garrett is actually my brother’s name, so, therefore, I like it. 😉

Hehe, I always copy/paste your tag…..

You might already have plenty of responses from others, but I think Pic Monkey and iStock Photos have free pictures.

@pickupyourpenandwrite Welcome!!! YOU’RE IN ENGLAND?! I want to go there soooooo bad! Do you like soccer (or I guess you might call it football)? If so, do you follow a team/club? What are your favorite books? Fave genres? Do you have any pets?

Sorry for the showering of questions 😊

@sam-kowal yeah, it’s really cool! Last time I saw him was when my family went to a Christmas eve service. I told him that I just finished reading his book, I really enjoyed it, and that I was a writer too. He even told me that he would critique the first chapter of my next novel!!! I had to hold in my squeal until I got into the car.

He actually…[Read more]

@daughteroftheking Ooh… That’s pretty cool! 🙂

@epicaddie2 Oh my goodness I love what you did to Daeus’ pic!

You know you are a writer when you hear a song and go, “Oh! That would go perfect in that one scene I am working on!” This happens to me So. Many. Times.

You know you’re a writer when you start editing the book you’re reading.

You know you’re a writer when you see a stranger, decide they look exactly like one of your characters, and feel comp…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Ooh boy. Pen names? Welllll…

To get ideas you could always find a name from one of your stories–whether obscure or not.
I don’t think you need your pen name to be completely random either. I mean, if you want it to be, by all means let it be. XD However, I think your name could have more significance if it had some attatchment…[Read more]

@dekreel Oh, sorry, I think I misunderstood. I actually do most of my reading in the car on the way to places, and the other reading I do near the laptop is school reading. Would school reading count too?

@seekjustice Yes, this is helpful! Been brainstorming pen names. I like the first name Evelyn, but I usually like shorter names. Any ideas?

Also, if anyone else has any short pen name ideas, it would be appreciated 😉@mariposa @seekjustice @jane-maree @dragon-snapper @audrey-caylin

@mariposa Wow, you like a lot of movie soundtracks! I like the Marvel and Star Wars soundtracks.

I’ll have to check out Dinosaur, ’cause my family likes the Jurassic Park movies too.

XD Haha, how unfortunate! @jane-maree

@jane-maree Thank you, this is very helpful! Your blog was one of the first I followed so I could get a feel of blogging, and I’ve been really enjoying it and you!❤

@jane-maree Thank you! yeah, I’d love some book recommendations!!!

@Jenwriter17 I basically second everything that Audrey said.

Getting people to read and know you and your blog is simply  a three step matter. (‘simply’ but not ‘simple’ XD)

1) Spend time on other blogs with similar content and styles to yours. Comment regularly, maybe guest post, just be present in the blogger community so that people know y…[Read more]

@Jenwriter17 As someone who writes and reads dystopian quite frequently, I think the main biggest cliche is “MC is a teen who leads a rebellion against the evil government and wins”

As Josiah said, I 10000% recommend reading into some of the good-ol’ dystopian novels like Fahrenheit 451 and the others he mentioned. Along with other more recent…[Read more]

@Daughteroftheking oh my wooooord yes. XD I was giggling through that entire section.

@Clairec If only….Unfortunately I was very private about my Prince-Seeking so I was hiding out in the back paddock when I did it. XD
