@Anne-of-Lothlorien, hello there! 🙂 I have a blog, but it is fairly new (started earlier this year) and, unfortunately, doesn’t have much content on it. It mostly consists of book reviews and short articles about random topics. I have a few pictures of my artwork too, and one short story, but I should warn you if you decide to read it: it was…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien The BBC version of the movie? Is that the one that was ruined? Or a different one? I know of three versions; one even older than the BBC. The books good though. Different ending to the BBC Pride and Prejudice.
Why was it ruined for you? -

@anne-of-lothlorien I haven’t seen the animated one. Well, at least I haven’t seen all of it. I was shocked when his parents died. I didn’t realize that would happen. Cause in the old one, his mother is still alive. (Well, at least I thought it was his mother, maybe it wasn’t) Anyway I didn’t start crying until he had to make that choose. Pete was…[Read more]

@Anne-of-Lothlorien I really didn’t care for the movie. Eustace and Reepicheep were brilliant, but otherwise I really couldn’t get over how much cheaper it was than the book. I know some can separate the two stories and enjoy them for their own sakes, and more power to them— but I just really did not care for the movie. 😛 I didn’t like any of…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien From Google: Support or have a particular interest in a romantic pairing between two characters in a fictional series, often when this relationship is one portrayed by fans rather than depicted in the series itself.

@anne-of-lothlorien Interesting that you brought up “blasted.” I’m reading a series where the main character’s main “swear” word is Blast, and he’s clergy! 😀 The characters in this series have lots of little “sayings” they use when surprised or making a point. For example, a common one is “I’ll be ‘et for a ‘tater!” or, when encouraging others,…[Read more]

So, who else has watched the new Pete’s Dragon? I watched it Friday with my family, even my five year old sister. I was so pleased with it and I loved it. I wanted to march to Hollywood and shout to everyone “See! See! You can make an awesome sweet epic touching movie without including immodesty, language, immorality, etc. It can be done peo…

@anne-of-lothlorien: I have written a short Choose-your-own-Adventure story in second person. It was fun, but incredibly difficult! I can’t imagine doing 2nd person in any other way than a CYOA. That’s one thing I never liked about CYOA’s. Sometimes, they would say things like, “If you decide to chase after the criminal, go to page 8. If you…[Read more]

@Anne-of-Lothlorien well, a writing blog. Not so much ‘how-to’ as it will be… I don’t know, encouraging? Inspirational, I guess you could say. And a little bit of everything that the more technical sights don’t talk about— psychology, personality, the philosophy of storytelling…[Read more] -

@anne-of-lothlorien I haven’t, mainly because I’m not sure how I would go about such a thing. Though I have toyed with the idea now and then. Perhaps the speaker would be telling the ‘reader’ about some sort of past they can’t remember and the reader has to become the hero of the story. Hmm, now that could be a cool idea.

@hope @winter-rose Yay! People know my favorite Marvel quote ever (and I forgive you @writefury for misspelling my foreign name)
@anne-of-lothlorien Click the words La La Land. It’s a link to the trailer. That should explain your question.
And that quote is from The Fellowship of the Ring. Gandalf reprimanding Pippin (as usual).
