Okay. I’ll keep that in mind @daeus. But I was also meaning, I don’t know how “odd” the names should be. After all, they are not people, but mermaid and that kind of stuff. But I don’t want to mimic “the little mermaid” too much.

@kate-flournoy What kind of lost is it? A Biblical lost? Or a “I don’t know where I am” lost? Or a “I don’t know what to do” lost? Or even a “I’m missing something, but I don’t know what” lost?

I guess a lot of people have been busy lately -including me. Wow, so many good points have been made here. I like them all. I agree with @overcomer… I like the telling in the book. It really works for this story, and it makes for a relaxing, thought-provoking read. I also like how simple (and bold, as you said @Daeus) the characters are.

I just finished the Wingfeather Saga (@zoe-wingfeather). It. Was. Amazing. @Hope Yes, we should start a topic on this! Problem is, I’m leaving for Tennessee and staying all of next week, so I won’t be able to participate much.

@Hope It depends on how much is implied and what is being implied. The end of The Giver was implied, but I liked it because the author left it open enough for the reader to decide what happened.
