Snapper replied to the topic How naming affects characterization in the forum Characters 9 years, 7 months ago
So, what about hero’s names? What do you guys think would go into a hero’s naming? (letters and sounds and such) (Ah, the English language) 😛
I particularly think that L is a good hero letter, but what else? -

@emma-flournoy, most definitely will be praying for you. Absolutely agree about those trembling hands. 😛 And also, did you mean ‘me too’ as in you’re doing a piano exam, or you’re praying? sorry, I wasn’t sure. 🙂

@ethryndal Boy, I’m jealous. All I get to do is melt chairs. I did about nada. Wrote 150 words of a plan, and tried writing something, and failed in that. Ugh. *melts chairs*

@ethryndal Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when Eustace was writing in his diary about his cousins.
Well, he’s not as dead as we would’ve hoped.

@winter-rose
First off, may I just say that I found this story very amusing!
For one, I agree with @ingridrd that the scene with his mom should be moved to another place. Perhaps after Sam’s tale and he comes home, the mom says “Start from the beginning”, and that would be the ending. -

@r-j-wordsmith Really? Wow, I didn’t know that! I wonder if he was thinking like Lewis when he came up with the idea of a time-travel book to be like Narnia (of course, Tolkien never intended it to be allegorical) I like the Hobbit better too, but that’s probably because it is my favorite book. 😛

@r-j-wordsmith *shudders* I’d melt if my book was hidden beneath others.
@kate-flournoy Indeed. I’ve been trying for months to regain what I had been able to do before, write what I love, but I’ve been so caught up in trying to make it world-worthy that I’ve forgotten what I’m actually doing. I read through my old work, and in comparing it to…[Read more] -

@rachelle Welcome to the land of the pen! Others may have beat me to it, but I never mind that to much. Ahem, welcome to the Bestistest place on the internets! 😛
Three novels! Woof…I’ve only written one, though I have written a half of another and enough one-page beginnings to make five chapters of beginnings. 😀
Again, welcome! - Load More
