@dekreel It’s rather difficult to explain if you’ve never had goat before. It can be a little tough, but the flavor is truly amazing. Wild, like venison, but with a unique flavor, like it is preseasoned.

@dekreel Haha, I’d forgotten I’d said that already, too!
@kballen Greetings Kylie! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My favorite food is a leg of goat roasted with sage and rosemary. My least favorite would have to be … chickpeas, maybe? I am easily pleased 😀 Which is your favorite house in Harry Potter?

@dekreel Les Mis is awesome! I’m from Idaho 🙂
Thanks @radically-surrendered! You should read the book! The unabridged version is long, but it has some neat history in it. I play the piano and banjo.

@jenwriter My dogs are Border Collie/Australian Shepherd named Jack and a German Shepherd named Dietrich.
I’m not partial to US teams; I have a bunch of Scottish soccer player friends so I wouldn’t mind following some UK teams.

Hello @clairc @sam-kowal @ingridrd! Nice to meet you all!
@mariposa Paper making is fun! So many different things you can do. I do love old westerns. Have you seen  any of Roy Rogers’s movies?

Hello @Dekreel! My name was actually an accident. My parents fully intended to name me Emily, but someone made a mistake at birth and it got on my birth certificate as Amily. 😜 Now in college with a hundred other Emilys, I’ve decided to embrace the A!
I don’t know that I could name a single favorite book or movie. I rather liked Ben Hur, both boo…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 That’s really neat that you get to ride horses so often! We just recently moved and I had to sell mine. We still have two dogs though! What are you guinea pigs’ names?
I haven’t watched much professional soccer, just my college’s team, though I think I’ll start! I used to play when I was really little.

Hi @rochellaine! I also write primarily contemporary realistic fiction. I find it easier to relate with modern readers and their problems that way. I’m too practical for fantasy!
Hey @jenwriter17! I love historical fiction, some non-fiction, and the occasional fantasy. My top three favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and G.A. Henty.…[Read more]

Hello @mariposa and Aberdeen! My favorite hobbies are riding horses, training dogs, and anything else involving animals! I have recently attempted drawing, though without much success. I do enjoy writing with my feather pen and occasionally dabble in paper-making.

Hey @seekjustice! *returns handshake equally vigorously* I love Tolkien’s world and am always delighted to meet others who appreciate his brilliance! And actually, Les Miserables (the unabridged version) was the last book I read! It was a reread, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

@alia It’s an amazing book! It took a few reads to really grasp everything he says, but definitely worth the time!
@introvert_girl I’m not sure I do have a favorite cookie…anything homemade is scrumptious! My all time favorite character is Faramir from Lord of the Rings. He’s so humble and caring, yet still a strong leader. Jean Valjean from…[Read more]

Hello @waterlily! I love reading books of all sorts and genres, but some of my favorites are Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott, Abolition of Man by C. S. Lewis, Knight of the White Cross by G. A. Henty, and Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Hey @dragon-snapper! I do have a current work in progress. Well, two actually. One still in the planning and plotting stage and one that I’m actually writing. The first is set in the modern day US and its purpose is to bring awareness to CHDs (Congenital Heart Disease) as well as address God’s goodness in tough situations. The second is more fun…[Read more]

Hello all! My name is Amily. I’m 18 years old and from Idaho. I began writing fantasy when I was ten, but it quickly petered out. Now, with the aid of Brett Harris and the Young Writer Community, I have revived my writing, focusing more on realistic fiction. I can’t wait to get to know you all and participate in this community.
