@winter-rose Well, all of them! 😉 The Valley of Fear is the one that surprised me; unfortunately, it also contained the most swear words. 😛 But The Hound of the Baskervilles is always a classic. For short stories… *scratches head* *screams internally* Oh, goodness, I simply CAN’T choose! 😀

@winter-rose It really wasn’t morbid at all; it was actually quite intriguing. Yes, it is from a Christian perspective. Dr. Whitcomb is fairly famous; he co-authored The Genesis Flood which has been promoted quite a bit by Ken Ham and the Creation Museum. He’s also written several other books and taught several Christian college courses. And even…[Read more]

Thanks, so honored to be here with this group of estimable young writers. *bows dramatically and sweeps off invisible hat* @dragon-snapper 😉
For my first trick- I mean, my goals this Fall/Winter (so far, that is. There is always room for more goals!) are: To write without (much) ceasing, particularly The All Elusive Novel, and a little poetry.…[Read more]

Ah, this looks like the right place for this. @BlueJay 😀
So, who out there has read Sherlock Holmes and loved him? Or, dare I say it, hated him? *gasps* If you do hate him, please tell me why, because aside from a few swear words 😛 I thought they were some of the best stories I’ve ever read. In one of the books, Sir Doyle did something that…[Read more]

@BlueJay Oh, okay, thanks. 😀 I’ll go check it out.
Then again, Sherlock is so great maybe I should just start a topic all for him… you really should read them. They’re all available for free to read online. 😀

@corissa-maiden-of-praise No haven’t read them. We actually have a topic called “have you read…?” or something like that in the book forum topic area. 🙂

@BlueJay Sounds like a blast! 😀
Hey, this may sound like a completely random question (maybe because it is :P) But have you ever read any Sherlock Holmes? I recently decided to read them, and (aside from a few swear words 😛 ) I was blown away by how wonderful they were. *disclaimer: it’s generally Americans swearing. I assure you that this is…[Read more]

@winter-rose I think I’m going to go now. I wrote six hundred more words or so. I’m not quite sure, though I know that in all of today I’ve written 2,655 words. How’d you do?

@corissa-maiden-of-praise Yes, it’s the same here. I think the beach we went to, didn’t get too crowded. There were other people there, but still it wasn’t too bad.
🙂 Great time to go. -

@BlueJay That. Is. Hilarious! I LOVE IT!!! Considering the list you had to work with, the result was brilliant. You are a genius! 😀

@BlueJay I do like beaches a lot… although I try to avoid the busy ones in the summer since folks here in America have erased the word “decent” from their vocabulary. 😛 Is it the same in Australia?
We love to visit the Indiana dunes (which are on Lake Michigan) in the Fall because it’s beautiful and the water’s too cold for anybody to be…[Read more]

@BlueJay I can’t wait to see it! I’m terrible at drawing things myself, but I really enjoy other people’s artwork. It’s incredible some of the things people can do with paper and pencil. 🙂

Me! Me! Pick me! *calms down* Please? (you can get my email securely from @hope)
If @hope is alright with that, we can go through her, or you can send your email address to @spradlin and I’ll take it from there.
@BlueJay Okay, either way works for me… what’s @spradlin‘s email?
kingdompenmag@gmail.com 🙂 So send her your email address and she can forward it on to me.
@BlueJay Done! I can’t wait to read it! 🙂
(Also FYI I’m signing off for now… *see* you tomorrow… or later *today* if I get up before you go to bed. 😉 )
@corissa-maiden-of-praise You’ll have to be up before 6 (for you) to do that. And I’ll be watching a movie with my family so I wouldn’t be able to write anyway. 🙂
Did I hear someone say, “beta readers?” That’s sounds like fun! What do I do?
@overcomer Happy doing what I just suggested to @corissa-maiden-of-praise?
I’ll give it a shot. 🙂 @spradlin should have my email since we’ve written back and forth a few times over K.P. stuff.
You got it!
@overcomer That’s probably the best way. @spradlin Can you send it to me?
Thanks, @spradlin ! 🙂
I can. I shouldn’t be too busy to read something short next month.
@anna-brie I have your email so I can send you the story. (as for short, it is 15 pages long) 🙂
@bluejay Me too!!! 🙂 I’ll post my email and then delete it, so it will only show up in your notifications. At least, I hope it works that way. 🙂
@bluejay I’m afraid I can’t beta read it this month. *scowls while looking over scheduled* I’ve probably too many projects going as it is… Not that I care, but my brain is warning me against accepting another one at this point so I should wait…
