Thank you so much for starting this thread, @I-J-Anderson. I haven’t drawn in forever, and I only just now realized how much I missed it… Did some research, even… after being thoroughly disgusted with the other work I posted on this thread, I did some looking around (may have taken a few tips from your work even XD ) and…[Read more]

@jane-maree , who’s Fred? 😉 (Just kidding,) Yep, that’s pretty much how it works. You post on here that you’ll be writing for x amount of time or whatever, and ask if anyone would like to join you. You can tag people if you want. It’s fun and encouraging. 🙂

@Ethryndal *chokes* now that picture is stuck in my head… lol

@Ethryndal ‘like’ might be a tad mild— it’s HILARIOUS! And he does have wavy hair, but I understand because I can ONLY draw wavy hair, and straight hair is the bane of my existence… usually ends up looking like a pile of hay. If Dallan wanted to look especially suave, he’d probably brush his hair back like that though. XD
@Daeus still not…[Read more]

Two more characters. 😀
Seamus: A twelve-year-old lad, full of life and mischief who has a way of making everyone fall in love with him. He has red hair that falls about his face. It’s not curled, but it’s not straight either… slightly wavy, I guess. He has a few freckles on his cheeks and nose and sparkling blue eyes. He’s normally grinning at…[Read more]

And thank you about the lettering… *bows* former calligrapher here. 😉
*stares at picture again* But the CHARACTER you got in that— the ATTITUDE! *dies laughing a second time*@Daeus you’ve got to see this.

‘Nother character…
Erika Paige, female, nineteen. Tall, a little bony, dark-ish skin and a light dusting of freckles, with grey-green eyes and a veritable mop of brilliant red hair. She’s a mechanic… her story is steampunk, so she makes steam-powered robots and drones and such… and she also dresses like a Victorian era lady, mostly in dark…[Read more]

*spends several moments choking and gulping and wiping her eyes*
Ouch.
This is superb. Just… everything. You had some typos, especially a lot in the first part, (and one grammar problem— ‘lays’ instead of ‘lay’ or ‘lies’) but everything else was amazing. I was also struck with how well you characterized Ellen— the quiet, sweet characters can…[Read more] -

Thanks, Jedi Writer @winter-rose ! 🙂 I couldn’t have taken the shields down and blown up the Death Star without you! I’m done too! Yay! 😀 I love it when the light wins. 😉 🙂

@widdrim My favorite era…probably the originals, with Luke and Leia, though I did enjoy the Force Awakens thoroughly. I asked if you liked Star Wars because every time I read “Hello There”, I see Obi-Wan Kenobi, dropping from the ceiling and into the midst of a gazillion clankers. Then there’s General Greivous, “General Kenobi.” 😛

Sweet, @winter-rose . You’re good! 🙂
I’m back for more writing! 🙂 Finishing up this short story will be my personal equivalent of blowing up the Death Star. For the Rebellion! 😉

Hope Ann replied to the topic ARCHIVED – Homework for Video 11: Scene to Story Structure in the forum Writing Assignments 9 years, 6 months ago
Ok, so these three scenes are from Fidelyon, the fantasy novel with the theme of identity (and subthemes of faith and responsibility)
1. The MC, Ethaniel has fled with a jester’s apprentice into a haunted forest to escape a general who has already killed the original bearer of the riddle to find the shield. They’ve figured out the current riddle…[Read more]
