Thank you for being our light in the darkness this monday morning. Literally. Our power is out and we sat in the dark listening to the podcast on the phone. 😛
Great stuffs, guys! Makes me want to take a whack at screenwriting! 😉
Also, no facebook here and I’m subscribed to the newsletter… so enter me, maybe?
Oh you poor souls. XD But hey, at least you enjoyed yourselves!
Screenwriting is so much fun. You ought to try it.
Welp . . . pffft, sure, why not. We’ll take care of ya. 😉
Great episode! I am a young filmed as well and this radio podcast gave me somewhat of an idea of what screenwriting is like! Also, how bloody is Ella? On a scale of 1 to 10?
Hi Jackson! First of all, thanks for your interest in Ella. I’m glad you enjoyed Daniel and I’s film geek out!
To address your question, I’m not sure what I would say to the 1/10 scale, but I will say that I hate blood and gore in movies too. What we show in Ella is some blood stains in bullet wounds, a little on hands, etc. And we didn’t go anywhere with gore, the blood is some realistic looking red goop from Party City, but there is absolutely no gore beyond that in the show. No terrifying wounds or anything. A friend of mine hates blood in shows and movies, and she was able to watch the show. I’d also like to say that there is little blood throughout, but there are just a couple scenes involving bullet wounds. If you’ve seen any low PG-13 movies, that’s what this is like. Out of fairness, for one to ten I would say 5 or 6.
Thanks Eric!
Great fun! First time listening to one of y’all’s podcasts. Great host and interesting topics. I myself am a screenwriter and will have to check out this project “Ella”!!
Keep up the entertaining podcasts.
Oh boy Daniel, not only did you give us another great one this time, you have me crazy to listen to the next one! Dragons… how can anyone who has once written a dragon be less than obsessed with them?!? Yeah, you better believe it’s a thing. It’s a thing that I have a thing for. 🙂
And I loved the little note you had at the end of the page— about KP having to get jobs at McDonalds. TV commercials, anyone? ‘Don’t wake up in a roadside ditch. Get rid of Cable’. Great. Just great.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, and YES, the next episode is pretty fabulous. I like it a lot. And I know that anyone who has written A dragon might become obsessed . . . but this guy takes dragon obsession to a whole new level. It’s gonna be great.
Reagan wrote that. He liked finding disclaimers for things I write inside the episode. 😛
Well then thanks Reagan for making my day!
I really want to meet whoever your guest is, Daniel. Stop telling me about him or I’m going to go insane. I mean, even more insane than I normally am.
Kingdom Pen News.
You should just stop the podcast, and make your own Kingdom Pen News station Daniel. It’s beautiful.
I could do that. That could be a thing.
I feel like I bring authors on the show to justify the stupid comedy things I do in the midsections and commercials. XD
Which would you rather have? A comedy show, or a radio show?
Well hey, who says you can’t have both?
Tom Hiddleston should have been the villain on Ella.
That would have made none of the sense.
What was the talking wale thing from?!?! XD
This is great.
The talking whale was from “Finding Neverland”, which is a movie I “like”, but only for a couple really great moments in it. I don’t really recommend it on a whole. It’s got a couple minor content issues, but mostly it’s just very slow. THAT moment was a great moment though.
