Kingdom Cinema videos are supposed to come out toward the beginning of the month, not toward the end of it.
What can we say?
Sometimes it takes a while to get a video just right.
This video went through three different scripts and two re-shoots to get it just right.
Now, however, it’s finished—and Daniel also gets to reveal if he was able to get his own KaPeeFer shirt.
Click below to watch us spoil all the writing tips you thought you knew about writing fight scenes.

Has Daniel worn his new shirt to his local barnyard dance yet? 😉 Maybe you two could do a video on “how to get writer’s block” sometime. XD
He just got the shirt ten days ago, so not yet. 😉 Nice topic idea! We have the next several shot already but will try to get that in at some point.
😀 😀 😀 Grinning nonstop the whole time. 😀 😀 😀
Seriously. Do all the videos like this in the future.
We’ve got the next four planned like this!
YESSSSSS. *stocks up on tissues for laugh-crying*
*Dances around happily*
This. Is. The. Best.
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
So many smiley faces for this.
And yes, you must make sure Daniel wears it to the next local barnyard dance.
Challenge accepted.
I may be the only (and weird one for noticing this) one that watched Josiah reading the script and silently reading it as Daniel talks 😀
Very good video. Though if you research a fight you may be labeled as a terrorist by google. 😀 XD
😀 😛 😉
I’ve noticed Josiah doing that for the past several videos. 😆 So you’re not weird unless I am (which is altogether possible 😜).
okay phew, 😀 I do it to when helping my younger brothers memorize stuff. 😉
I noticed that too. Several times… Also them looking below the camera.
Do you have a script reader under the camera?
What is it with this site and puppies? *grabs all the puppies* No one will ever kick or milk you again! Or make you in into any kind of puppy chow! *carrys puppies into another dimension where they are safe for all time…*
Maaaaybeee… We probably could have been more careful with the teleprompter this time 😛
I think we shall have to put a disclaimer on all future KP Cinema videos: “The views of Daniel on puppies (or anything else for that matter) do not necessarily represent the views of this site.” xD
Darn it. You’ve discovered my secret. Someone has to keep him on track!
Yes… At one point I was spending quite a bit time researching how long it took to strangle someone and what’s the best way to do it, and I don’t know if Google’s profile of me has recovered ever since.
You know, when I read this comment, my first thought was that you were researching how to strangle Daniel because he wasn’t reciting the script properly. XD
xDDDD This is where it becomes very important to define the context of a statement you’re making!
*laughs* *facepalm* *shakes head* Really? Why were you even logined in? *absentmindedly fingers the flag over her camera* I watched at lot of crime shows and it’s a good thing nothing happened near your house… And I have another book idea. *facepalms again*
I noticed it too 😛
*notes things to fix for the next video*
I now feel very equipped to make my readers put down my book after the first page! 😉 Awesome video!!!!
Excellent. Very pleased to hear our advice will make an impact on your writing. 😉
Can you take a video of Daniel when he goes to his local barnyard dance with the shirt please?
Heh; that would be awesome. I will keep that in mind, though barnyard dances are a bit scarce in our area.
Yeah, same here. But when one DOES come around, be sure to remember. We Kapeefers will be forever in your debt
We watched the part with Daniel and his shirt twice XD
These videos are both entertaining and helpful. I’m tempted to write a fight scene like that just to see if I can make it worse than the one you described xD (and I’m assuming Daniel wears that shirt every day 😉 )
If you ever happen to write that, send it into our email! I’d love to see that. xD
But… but… *sighs* You might have told me I didn’t need to research fight scenes before I filled my history with searches on how to break an arm with bare hands or bruised windpipes or recovery time for stab wounds…
And now the NSA’s probably after you as well. You really should wait till we release these new videos to know how to effectively write your novel. 😉
Well, I haven’t seen this one yet, but I can congratulate you on being blocked by Youtube’s restricted mode. XD
Noooooo…. :'( Not the first time it’s happened, and I can never figure out what triggers it.
XD The same the happened to me. 😛
It kinda makes me wonder…what did you guys do??? 😛
JK
The problem is . . . if all the fight scenes have the hero almost dying, losing, whatever, then it bothers readers like me who want their novels to actually have a chance of happening. Not a 1 out of 100 followed by a 1 in a million. And then another. And another.
Not saying you should have lopsided fights, but keep that in mind.
Yep–good point. There’s an important balance that needs to be struck between being suspenseful and realistic.
You know, IRL I’m like a less confident, more wacky Daniel. 🙂
Ha. So not only are you a clone of me but you’re also a clone of Daniel? *rubs chin thoughtfully*
Yeah. Name of you, personality of Daniel.
So randomly it started working…
Huh…
Well, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I feel prepared to write my fight scenes now. Before, I was so worried. My fight scenes were too realistic, but now, I think I can fix it. I just need to make sure none of my heroes get hurt.
That way, it’s a bonus! Not only with it be the worst fight scene ever, but my characters will actually like me!
Win win!
Stormtroopers…
*facepalm*
So wait….if Daniel got the shirt, does he get the ringtone too?
Excellent, excellent. Pleased to hear I’ve prepared you to go out and write those fight scenes.
Ha. He hasn’t told me if he plans on doing that.
I enjoyed this waaaaaaay more than I should have. xD Excellent job as always, Josiah and Daniel!
Haha, thanks Sarah!
🙂 Now I can write the worst fight scene ever. Very good for Star Wars fan fic. 🙂
Was “Martha” from the Batman vs. Superman movie?
Ding, ding, ding–we have a winner! First person to mention that reference. 😉
What’s the prize? 🙂 How do I get notified when I get a reply to a comment?
If you’re signed into your account, you should get a notification sent to your email, but I’m not 100% sure if the website will do that or not… :/ As for prizes? Hmm… You get the top-secret classified information that not everything we say in this video is real advice. :O
Funniest. Thing. Ever. Well, besides the first appearance of KaPeeFer. That almost killed me.
Good thing I now know how to write the worst fight scene ever! Luckily for me, I don’t have a creepy search history of stabbing and strangling and such. Yikes. So now I don’t need to! YAY!!!!!
I know, right? I’m saving people so much time with this video…
Does anyone else spend half the video reading the titles of the books on the shelf behind them??? Or is it just me?
Welcome to a snapshot of my soul. xD
Yes! I’m always really interested in looking at them XD. I know and love a lot of them
I love this. So. Much. *dies laughing*
Seriously. Reverse psychology is amazing. You guys make me laugh way more than Studio C ever has. XD
I can’t wait for the next episode!!!
Wow; that may be one of the highest compliments we’ve received! xD Glad you enjoy them. 🙂
I was laughing all the way through this. Amazing video!!! Currently my co-writer and I are working on a fight scene, so we shall be sure to follow every instruction you so kindly laid out for us. 😉
Josiah… I could see the wheels turning in your head when you weren’t the one speaking! 😀 This must have been so tough to film!
Thanks again for all the wonderful advice!
Anytime Daniel is speaking, it’s hard to film with a straight face. Glad to hear we’ve been of help. 😉
I just DIED laughing!!! That was the best video I’ve ever watched on effective fight scenes! Now I know *exactly* what to do. 😎 You guys are the best!
