Does anybody have any good writing prompts or writers block busters they want to share with everyone? Here’s the place to put it! I found a few online and thought they sounded really fun to write about when you have writers block or need a writing prompt,
- Advice columns- Super fun to make up your own!
- A superstition that comes true- “Find a penny, pick it up, and all the day youll have good luck” or something like that 🙂
- Theatrical play that goes wrong!
- A love letter- These are hard for me to write
- A scam email?- Not quite sure how to write one 😀
I also found a few story starters or something you can add to your book if your stuck
- Your inside a pet shelter
- You pause, the locked door swings open and…
- The restaurant seems to be slow tonight.
- You fall asleep and wake up somewhere else.
If you guys have any feel free to share them ! Also if you would like to share what you wrote feel free to!

@acancello It took me a while to figure out, too. For the first few tries I used the profile names instead of the usernames. To answer your original post, I don’t usually use writing prompts to get past writer’s block, but maybe I should try it!

www.booksbyjayna.comMarch 13, 2023 at 10:55 am #136582I don’t use writers prompts often, but I think they are great for short stories!
What if ghosts weren’t spirits from the past, but spirits from the future?
You life is all as it seems until you discover “The Box”…
Your in one of millions of cryo pods being sent to mars. You are awoken, but the destination is galaxies away.
Your on a expedition in the middle of Antarctica, exploring ice caves of geological wonder, when suddenly, you find something that changes everything…
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

Write a story in the eyes of a villain but don’t reveal that it’s the villain until the very end.
What if your favorite story was flipped and the villain was the hero making the hero the villain?
Use an unusual event in your own life and exaggerate it just enough to make it way worse than it actually was. Maybe you said something you shouldn’t have and you got in trouble. Make your character do the same but he’s imprisoned or banished for saying it.
March 27, 2023 at 11:50 pm #138670Do you ever listen to a song or musical score and write the scene you hear being played out in the notes and lyrics?
March 27, 2023 at 11:59 pm #138671I dont think I have tried that yet, but that sounds super fun to do!! Ill try that soon!
