So, I’ve been thinking about doing an article for KP, but I’m just not sure on a few things, so I figured I would ask. I’ve been told that I’m pretty okay with non-fiction stuff, so we’ll see😅.
Anyway…
What kind of articles are common or maybe overused, and which ones need to be explored more? Are there other topics you’d like to see that I could maybe write about? Are there other questions I should be asking???

March 25, 2023 at 2:36 pm #138402I’ve been thinking about writing an article as well. I don’t know what topic you could do, but I’ve been told that it’s a good idea to do something that you’re passionate about and that you know well.
I asked @kathleenramm about writing an article a little while ago. She should be able to give you some pointers. I know that @gracie-j @joy-calle and @r-m-archer have all written articles before. (And maybe @seekjustice. I can’t remember)

March 25, 2023 at 3:32 pm #138411I think articles that are written far too often are those about writer’s block and how to outline a story. It seems like everyone’s written one on those topics. Personally, I would love to see articles on worldbuilding and writing romance.

Yes, I have seen a lot on writer’s block for sure, and it’s good to know to avoid outlining. While I can’t say I have a lot of experience with romance, I love worldbuilding, so that might just fit!

Anyways, as for you question, honestly the best answer I can give you is to write about something you are most captivated by at the moment. Has there been anything related to writing pressing on your heart? Breakthroughs you had while writing? Mysteries surrounding the writing world that you are dying to learn more of and explore?
If its a topic that you are enthralled by, most likely other people will be interested in the topic as well. Plus, the researching and writing process of the article will be a lot more fun as well.
Hope his helps, and good luck with your article writing!

I’ll definitely have to think about that. Putting my finger on a certain topic has been difficult, so I’ll just have to figure that out.
