@godlyfantasy12 Ooh…I love that arc outline! I’ll have to try that for my characters and share with y’all!

@joy-caroline First of all, I hate to admit that I’ve never heard of Demas (I’m sure I’ve read about him, but I quickly forgot)…however, I absolutely LOVE the idea of a story from his perspective! Seriously! Just thinking about it gets me all excited, because I know what a great writer you are and I know you could bring his story to life! I would definitely love to read his story, and the idea of making TAS and The Anointed into a full series is fantastic! You should totally go for it!

@godlyfantasy12 Well…  I have currently 7 books planned. I can lay them all out for you here, and how they correspond, if you want. (Basically laying out my series here, lol. Just please nobody steal my ideas, I worked hard to think of these. I know most of you wouldn’t, but still.)

        Book #1. The Azure Diamond:

Girl named Bren touched an enchanted jewel that weakened her. She has to collect the 8 shards of the Azure Diamond to reverse the effects of the White Sapphire, and along the way meets friends Marge, Ripley, and Noelle. They collect shards of the diamond before Bren dies, and make surprising discoveries along the way.

        Book #2. The Dragon Princess:

Marge and the others discovered at the end of book one that she’s actually a lost princess. And so she has to overthrow the family in rule (the Embers), alongside her friends, to get her true kingdom back. Betrayal beckons along the way, and she manages to beat them. Switches between the historical perspective of Princess Shai-Ciunelle, who was in rule at the time the Embers overthrew the royal family, and present day.

Book #3. The Reclamation of Aer’eth:

Ripley, Bren, and Marge successfully defeated Damias and Aisha Ember. Now that they have their kingdoms – Bren as the Earth-daughter, Ripley as the Skytamer, and Marge the Princess of Aer’eth – they finally think things are going their way. Until Marge starts acting weird, pushing her friends away, saying she doesn’t need their help, and finally invading other kingdoms. Bren and Ripley know something’s up, and so they have to figure out what’s going on. It turns out a shapeshifter kidnapped Marge, and all this time was impersonating her and abusing her power. They take down the shapeshifter and have to try to reverse the damage he’s done in their world.

        Prequel. The Travelers’ Caravan:

Discusses the events that happen before Bren, Ripley, Marge and Noelle’s paths cross.

Book 0.5 (not sure what this would be). The Calamitous Crossing of Diel Saigon:

Takes place 4 years before book 1. A young girl named Diel Saigon encounters a dying sprite named Sje, who entrusts Diel with a shard of the Azure Diamond. Sje tells Diel to take the shard to the Ga’loran Wood Sprites. Diel finds one of the Sprites, Reike, as the Sprites’ village is being burned down. Reike tells Diel that she needs to protect the shard herself, and so Diel goes to Cytopas Mountain to protect it. All the while, the Ember family is tracking her, trying to get their hands on the shard. Diel spends two years at Cytopas protecting the shard. She has interesting adventures there, such as creating a cave system and even dealing with dragons. But in the third year she’s there, a traveling foursome (you guessed it, Bren, Marge, Noelle, and Ripley) tell her they need the shard. Diel causes an avalanche (as she’s expected to do to protect the shard whenever someone comes for it) and… to avoid spoiling it, a major plot thing happens. Erm. Yeah. But they end up getting the shard from Diel and Diel goes on more adventures by herself after. (haven’t really planned that part out too much yet)

History Book One: [untitled so far]

Discusses events of how the royal family came to reign up until Princess Shai-Ciunelle is born.

History Book Two: [untitled so far]

Meant to be read with book 2, discusses more in-depth the reign, life, and war of Shai-Ciunelle. Also discusses events that take place during this time.

And that’s pretty much my series so far. Maybe I’ll do a book about the war of the Wood Sprites. Who knows. XD

@scripter-of-kingdoms That sounds awesome! Plus, I love the idea of having history books to go along with the main novels–fantastic!

@gracie-j Aw, thank you! I’ve worked really hard on planning it out! :DDD The layout of the series itself is inspired by that of The Green Ember.

Y’alls stories sound AMAZING!! And wow everybody has such neat outlines! *cough cough I’m totally not taking notes in the corner cough cough* I’m still debating whether or not my story will stretch into a trilogy (I REALLY hope it does because I want to keep writing about these characters forever XD) so I’m not sure whether or not I could make an outline like that lol

                              @godlyfantasy12

Let’s see…  pacing is actually something I struggle with.  Cause I have all these amazing plans but the book will be either too long or too many that aren’t long enough, both of which would mess up the pacing.  Here’s the basic outline of my trilogy:

Book #1–As Dark as Mist and Shadow (title change 😉)

                              Main themes:  loyalty, trust, forgiveness

Seia has lived in isolation her whole life, planning to escape her evil mother with Sadana.  But she can’t because of her extreme loyalty to her sister Sadana, who refuses to leave out of hope for their mother to change.  But then the unthinkable happens: Sadana is engaged to one of the most powerful and dangerous men in the empire. Seia has to go after Sadana and save her before it’s too late.

Book #2–As Cold as Ice and Stone

                              Main themes:  bravery, honor, love

Seia has escaped with her friends, but Sadana is still in danger and so is anyone close to her.  So when something unexpected happens, Seia must find out how to balance the conflicting emotions of love, hate, loyalty, and blossoming romance while protecting those she loves.  And still the war between her and her mother rages on.

Book #3–As Bright as Fire and Sun

Main themes:  justice, fighting the darkness inside

Seia is alone.  Her friends are dead or lost.  She has no idea of what has become of Sadana.  The world is in chaos and Seia doesn’t know what to do.  The burning rage and strong sense of loyalty are the only things that motivate her because she found her meaning in her relationships.  Now she must face her fears and look above, to where she’s always sensed someone watching her, wanting her to trust him.  Now, at world’s end, there’s only one choice to make:  surrender or die.

So ya.  If I make any more progress, I’ll update y’all. 😊

@nova21 Wow!! Love it!!! Also, I wouldn’t worry about making ur books too long. And some make short books! (But I’d totally be willing to read a long book)

I think my biggest suggestion is to know how it ends. And if you get to the ending and it feels wrong, don’t stick with that ending.
