@c-c-lane I could go for a half an hour right now. If that doesn’t work, I’ll be writing from 8-9 ET tonight (I write at that time pretty much every night except on weekends)

I think I could do that, though we might have dinner soon…

Okay, thanks to google, I know that it means Eastern Time. Yeah, let’s do 8-9. See you then?
July 12, 2016 at 5:47 pm #14608@c-c-lane Ok, cool.
Yes, ET is the same as EST.

I wrote 1,411 words and a couple ideas for future chapters; I finally finished Chapter 5 and resolved a problem I had trouble with before. Wow! I’ve never done so well! This Writer’s Corner really works well. Great idea for whomever came up with it!
July 12, 2016 at 9:07 pm #14617Well, I edited over 4,000 words, but that’s not exactly as impressive as it sounds because I had already edited it once and most of it was pretty shallow editing. Only about 375 words were actually edited deeply. I’m very satisfied with my plot, but am often disappointed with my scenes. I’ve fixed some of them, but I am sure it’s going to take a while to get all these little things smoothed out. You know bland minor characters, settings that don’t add any value, not very well done conflict, etc.

July 12, 2016 at 9:09 pm #14618@C-C-Lane Hey, that’s great. That’s about the fastest I can write myself, so it’s a good rate.

Glad you think so. I have to say it’s pretty good too, because I’ve had writer’s block the past few months, so getting back into writing felt pretty good.
Whatever you say, Daeus, I think that getting 4,000 words out of the way is great! After all, practice makes a lot better, right? Every writer has their strong suits, and for you I’m guessing that that’s plot. For me, it’s world building, which has to be the worst thing to be best at in writing ever because I have absolutely no motivation to make plots (actually, I’ve only ever made one or two and I’m working on twenty or so 🙂 *guilty smile*) or to work that much on characters or to edit.
But yeah, thanks so much for doing this, it was really fun!@Kate-Flourney. Great job! Glad you were able to join us!
July 12, 2016 at 9:16 pm #14620@C-C-Lane that’s great! And this topic was Daeus’s idea. 😉
@Daeus yes, scenes and settings can be tricky. Especially learning to use them in coordination with each other. *grimace* -
