How cool! I actually haven’t read anything from those authors yet. Hopefully, I can do that during my senior year. 🙂

Ooo, exciting!!! I’m probably too late to submit a question, but I hope you got a bunch. 🙂 I can’t wait to see where you take this novel, girl! <333
I’m going to echo what @koshka said. I LOVE a good redemption arc. Completely and totally breaking my characters, bringing them to the lowest point they’ve ever been in, and then bringing in hope and healing is just my favorite. I’m also a huge fan of hugs, good, strong guy friendships, good, strong girl friendships, sibling relationships, parent-to-child relationships, and pretty much every other type of healthy/redeemed relationship. And of course, there’s the super-tough-on-the-outside-but-soft-and-hurting-on-the-inside type character… Give me one of those, and I will simply die. XD How about you?

Actually, you’re not too late if you want to submit! The form’s still open because I haven’t had time to answer the questions yet. 😅
April 3, 2022 at 2:17 pm #109701@lydia-s GIRL sameeeee. That’s the good stuff right there XD I absolutely love it. I try to include good sibling relationships into my books because it’s so rare in fiction sadly ;-;

Oh, awesome! I’ll have to pop in and do that. Thank you so much for letting me know! 🙂 <333
Agh, yessss… I honestly can’t think of that many books that include siblings, let alone in a positive manner. Which is honestly very, very sad. :'(
April 6, 2022 at 5:51 pm #109746@lydia-s There’s one book series I really loved called the Lost Island of Tamarind by Nadia Aguiar and it has some great sibling relationships, as well as really creative world building in general. I really loved it, although personally I’d rate it pg-13 for violence (and I think a d-word) but it wasn’t too bad. (If you’ve ever watched Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean, this was cleaner than those) And yes I absolutely agree, it’s very sad that writers don’t add more (especially positive) sibling relationships ;-;

April 10, 2022 at 7:41 pm #109805Oh, thanks for the recommendation! It’s so nice to see good relationships in novels.
I’ve never watched LOTR, but I’m a huge fan of it! Sam is just… *chef’s kiss* XDApril 11, 2022 at 1:26 pm #109813@lydia-s Sure thing!! Lemme know what you think of you ever read it! The Viking Quest series is also a fantastic series with amazing sibling relationships in it T_T<3 I first read that series when I was 13 and I still adore it XD

April 14, 2022 at 7:01 pm #109902Ooo… Thanks so much for the suggestions! It’s always nice to get directed towards good books. 😀 Jennifer Erin Valent’s trilogy is great with sibling-like relationships. The two girls aren’t actually sisters, but they treat each other and grow up like sisters. It’s a Christian series, but it does get pretty dark/sad by book three (it’s set in the South during the early 1900s and deals with the racial issues of that time period). I’m a HUGE fan of the series and can hardly recommend it enough, if you’re looking for a new read. 😉
June 20, 2022 at 7:25 pm #111608@lewilliams Hey! I just now saw your message to me.Â
I seriously have no idea how I missed it. XDBut anyway, to answer your question, I’m actually not on YDubs, but I do have friends who are on it."It looks like a fairy world"~Meg from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
