      @that_writer_girl_99 Plots are finicky things to straighten out. *pats you on the back*. Good luck. If you need to bonce ideas off of someone or something like that, I can be a…I don’t know, idea bouncer-offer? A wall? Can you bounce ideas off walls?

        Thanks, Gabby. (People call you Gabby, right?)

        I should be fine right now, but after I finish this chapter, I’m going to have to take a serious look at my plot ideas. Right now, everything I’ve come up with is in a garbled mess. @winter-rose

          @That_writer_girl_99 (yes people call me Gabby. 🙂 ) Alrighty.
          Also, I’m sorry. Garbled messes are the worst *looks off into the distance as memories surface of a previous plot**shudders and returns to the present*. Is this your first book or have you written some before?

            @winter-rose @that_writer_girl_99 mind if I jump in? A certain character of mine needs a serious interview right now 😉

                I agree wholeheartedly. @winter-rose

                Well…it’s actually a tad complicated. See, I’ve been writing for a long time, but all of my previous works were just for fun, and what’s more, they were nothing like the story I’m working on now.
                Most of them were written without an outline, and are consequently collecting dust in my metaphorical Vault of Unfinished Works–otherwise known as the shared space between the Notes feature on my phone and Microsoft Word.
                My current WIP, which I’m just calling “The Prison” for the moment, holds a lot of firsts.
                -It’s the first one I’ve outlined (in any form of the word)
                -It’s the first one for which I’m including a theme.
                -It’s the first one I’m working on during my stay at KP *grins*
                -It’s the first one for which I’m focusing on different aspects of my writing style, such as dialogue, descriptions, setting, character arcs…you get the idea.

                All of that to say…a lot of what I’m doing in this book is stuff I haven’t done before. The slow, turtle-like speed of it is a consequence of that fact.
                Thing is? I love it. Every single piece of it, every word. This WIP reflects my desire to grow and learn as a writer. It’s constantly expanding, changing, rising, falling.

                …Sorry, that turned out to be way longer and wayyy sappier than I intended…

                  @That_writer_girl_99 Yes! All of what you just said is so awesome! It’s even better that you’re loving the process so much! 😀 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 *wishes she had more words to describe how awesome that was*.
                  What you’re attempting is a lot of work and probably more than a bit overwhelming, but it’s so worth it! You’re getting serious as a writer. I feel privileged to witness these firsts. 🙂 *explodes with happiness that a writer is blooming at KP*

                    Oh, hey Audrey! An interview, huh?

                      @that_writer_girl_99 @Audrey-Caylin I need to get up early tomorrow so I’m calling it quits. I editing a bit and actually wrote in a section (which was fun for me, since I’ve been editing for a while and haven’t actually had to write a bunch of dialoge and thoughts and stuff, if you get my meaning). I hope your interview went well Audrey, and I hope your plot starts cooperating, Elizabeth. See you guys around!

                        @winter-rose Bye!!

                        @that_writer_girl_99
                        yep. There’s a certain character I have that I want to become more of a main antagonist in my novel, which I’m about to rewrite. This character is being very stubborn and secretive, so… *glares at character*

                          @winter-rose Real Life just doesn’t understand how important our writing is, does it? Bye. 🙂

                          That…actually sounds really awesome, though I know it must seem irritating now. What’s the novel about?

                            @that_writer_girl_99 I haven’t completely articulated that yet 😛 I had a synopsis, but it’s changing now. Basically, it’s a fantasy/sci-fi with a hint of dystopian. A girl from twenty-fourth century earth gets turned into the authorities by her family and wakes up on a different planet. She has a device that can take her home, but it’s broken. Then she gets tangled up in a war between some of the locals (that’s where the fantasy part comes in), captured, but she has information that can help them. That’s a bad summary on my part, but it’s the just of the novel 🙂

                              Sounds really intriguing, though! Plenty of opportunities for plot twists and that kind of thing. @audrey-caylin

                              So…the character who was your protagonist has turned into the antagonist? How’d that happen?

                                @that_writer_girl_99 Thanks!

                                Actually it was a minor character who turned into an antagonist. I recently got the novel back from beta readers, and some of the feedback I got was that I have too many minor characters. So I cut a few and this particular character stepped forward to be an antagonist. Since I lack antagonists who are present throughout the entire novel, I went with it. Hopefully this rewrite will go better than my other ones 😛
