April 4, 2017 at 8:56 pm #29421@Jane-Maree @Dragon-Snapper I’m going to be off for a half hour or so getting dinner. (and moaning over how travel scenes are so hard to write 😛 )
April 4, 2017 at 8:58 pm #29422@audrey-caylin Oh. Travel scenes. Those are the bane of my existence.

April 4, 2017 at 9:30 pm #29434Ugh, I’m hitting a wall…
Chapter outlines–anyone have tips on how to start writing them?

April 4, 2017 at 9:31 pm #29435@Jane-Maree I’m back and setting out with epic music and scene structure to conquer that travel scene xD
@that_writer_girl_99 hello! *waves* I don’t believe we have met. Though I think I saw you somewhere in that discussion about Gollum earlier today 😉April 4, 2017 at 9:32 pm #29436Ah, yes…I was there…though I didn’t intend on the discussion going in that direction…
I’ve never been great with travel scenes, either. They tend to be rather boring…

I jot down the rough idea/scene that I want to have in each chapter. For example: Chapter Two Protagonist breaks out of hospital. And then I go on to expand on that later, if I feel like it, by working out several ideas of how and when and why he’s doing that and everything.Writing Heroes ♦ Writing Hope // janemareeauthor.com.au

April 4, 2017 at 9:34 pm #29439That seems rather straightforward, haha. I think it’s the expanding thing I have a problem with–coming up with interesting things to sprinkle into the scene, coming up with dialogue, and all that.
